Whiteside Router Bits RU1800 Standard Spiral Bit with Up Cut Solid Carbide 3/16-Inch Cutting Diameter and 3/4-Inch Cutting Length

Have not been disappointed by Whiteside router tips.

I bought this to replace a single fluted 3/16 bit that came with my Porter Cable dove tail jig because 1/2 way through my 1st project it was just burning through, because it was just tool steel. This bit is solid carbide! It went through walnut like it was butter.

Whiteside router bits seem to be a good value for the money. There my go to bits.

I’ve been making miniature dovetail joints in walnut with a Porter-Cable dovetail jig and it’s HSS bits. Chip out has been a problem, but no more! Using this carbide up-spiral bit has been the answer. When I first used it in my trim router I wasn’t sure if anything had happened, no cutting noise, no cutting feel in my hand, no nothing. I had to lift the router out of the way to see. Perfect cuts- like cutting through velvet. Clean lines, perfect edges, zero chip out. I am very pleased. I even tried it without a backing board and masking tape. Perfect.Just wow!!

I didn't read the description well enough. Thought I was getting a bit for my router with a half in shank. This one is a 1/4 inch shank. My own fault. Switched routers, worked great.
