This product has absolutely, positively changed my life.
SUMMARY: This product has changed my life. No exaggeration. I have never, ever, been so pleasantly surprised by a beauty related product. Ever. THE NITTY GRITTY: I was skeptical as to how great this product would be. I had recently purchased an epilator, but was having a lot of issues with ingrown hairs. Also, I've always had mild keratosis pilaris (KP), but had pretty much given up on it getting better. Since having the ingrown hair issues, I had tried all kinds of solutions: expensive natural scrubs, expensive chemical scrubs, home-made scrubs of sugar and coconut oil (which is still an awesome home-made product, FYI), dry-brushing, etc. etc. I was not seeing results. I searched far and wide to find a solution, and came across this. As a huge nerd, I remembered hearing about Strigils (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strigil), or metal tools which were popular during Roman times for skin cleaning. I was intrigued. So I went to Amazon and read reviews. The reviews, which you may have noticed, are mixed. There are lots of folks who, like me, have claimed that this product has changed their lives. There are also folks who are not at all impressed. Ultimately, I figured, "For $12 bucks, I'll take a chance. I've tried everything else!" So the exfoliator arrived, and I went about my usual bathing routine (which mirrors how the Romans used it, and I think this is KEY to getting the best results): soaking for 10 minutes in a warm bath with a couple tablespoons of coconut oil, then exfoliation. Keep in mind, for the past couple of weeks, I had been rigorously (and, at times, painfully!) exfoliating EVERY DAY. My skin should have been pretty damned clear of dead cells. So I started the process. It's simple, and it felt good. Obviously, you need to be careful on more delicate skin, and it's a bit awkward on the bonier joints (elbows and knees). So, I'm scraping with my foot in the air, and all of a sudden something dark falls on my chest. I figured it must have been something that somehow got stuck to my foot. But that's not what it was at all. It was a glob of dark gray/brown dead skin mixed with oil. It was absolutely disgusting, but incredibly surprising too. I looked at the exfoliator, and saw that it was full of dead skin! Even after all of the obsessive exfoliation, I was still scraping off tons of dead skin! After the VERY first use, my skin was incredibly soft and smooth. Quickest results I've ever seen from any beauty product I've ever had. By the third use, the KP was almost invisible...and I hadn't even purchased this item for that! This product is cheap, easy to use, and incredibly efficient. For those who did not have a good result, I suggest that you soak in the tub with oil first. I've done this in the shower, with coconut oil but without soaking, and my results were nowhere near as satisfying (more oil scraped off, not a lot of dead skin). I cannot stress how much of a difference this product has made. There are parts of my body that I didn't even realize could EVER be so soft! Buy this, and buy it now. This is my first ever review on Amazon, and I did this just because I feel so strongly about this product. You will not be disappointed!!!

BEST PURCHASE I'VE EVER MADE
I have been searching forever to find something to slough off my dead skin from keratosis Polaris for AGES. Lotions and scrubs just do nothing against basically the armor of dead skin. Usually I have to make do with my finger nails (gross and streaky and can't get everything evenly), but this product is basically just a big ridged piece of metal that simulates the hard but gentle nail texture. And it's SO MUCH MORE EFFECTIVE. I used this thing once and immediately my arms felt cleaner than they have in literal years. I didn't even have to wait to get out of the shower - it was instant. It was AMAZING. The texture and color of my arms was instantly better too because there weren't as many little purple bumps. I might try some of my lotions out again now that they can penetrate. If you have chicken skin that you can never seem to keep from being thick and excess skin adhesion in general, BUY THIS IMMEDIATELY. I could not possibly recommend this anymore - best purchase I've ever made

It works!! You'll be amazed what's on your face!
I was hesitant about this, but I put a lot of faith in my purchases in other people's reviews, and it paid off. This little tool is about the size of the palm of your hand. It has a very durable metal blade, but it's not sharp like a razor. I wash my face regularly but for the last fee months noticed that I had black heads on my nose and a greasy forehead. Also a few ingrown hairs on my neck from shaving. Within 10 days of using this tool (5x total use over 10days. Every other day) my forehead is not greasy, black heads are gone, and ingrown hairs gone. The little blade is easy to clean, just run it under the hot water. I definitely recommend you use this in the shower or right after a hot shower. I thought my face was pretty clean... I was wrong. 1 swipe across my forehead and I was disgusted how much gunk came off. I scraped very lightly too... I carefully used the blade for my nose and t section and same thing!!! It was gross how much gunk I pulled off my face, be prepared for that. Be careful with use, if you go too hard you could scrape your self pretty bad. The blade is not sharp but it's firm and has a nice edge on it. It will definitely pop Pimples or something if you have them, so be prepared for that as well. I used it in the Morning in the shower right before I shave, and then a very very light scrape after a shave to remove residue. Within 10 days I have gotten compliments and even see it myself: my face looks clean and clear (I thought it was clean and clear before), and I have a nice healthy and refreshed glow to my skin. Hot water an this tool is all I will ever need. Sorry face wash products.... This tool just took my business from you. You won't regret buying this!

I have pretty sensitive skin
On the positive, I owned this for over a year, I kept it in the bottom of my shower and it never rusted. The metal part appeared to be as fresh and clean as the day I bought it. This is definitely a positive as it's a tool that one drags against one's skin. It does exfoliate well. Think of that skin that you can slough off with your fingernails after you've been in the shower for awhile, that's what it's removing. Not as well as fingernails though, you can still get some off afterwards. I have pretty sensitive skin, and using this once in awhile was ok, but using even two days in a row was extremely irritating to my skin. It would sometimes leave me red. The skin also builds up under the metal edge. In trying to clean the skin out from this edge with my finger once, the tool actually sliced open my fingertip and made me bled. After having this for over a year, I just didn't consider it that useful and threw it out.

I like it - not life-changing, but very pleasant to use.
This is great sometimes and so-so other times. I find the most dead skin it takes off is on my neck, which wasn't really what I was going for with purchasing this but am now totally paying attention to. Sometimes it takes off a surprising amount of dead skin! But it doesn't always look like it's taking off anything; though I tend to run it over the same spots regardless. I haven't scratched myself with this but sometimes it will leave a mark for 15 minutes or so if I use it too hard. Sometimes I will put massage oil on before a shower, to better lift out dirt, then wash it off with soap in the shower. I know this exfoliator works because it will scrape off oil (and dirt) after I wash with soap and a scrub sponge. So at the very least this is capable of removing surface dirt if it doesn't always exfoliate the way I'd like it to. I like this because it's WAY easier to store/disinfect/exfoliate with than my loofah, scrub sponges, or pumice stone. It doesn't scratch me like those all can sometimes, and it probably takes off about the same amount of dead skin. I can also use this on my face, and it very obviously scrapes off excess makeup (I just avoid my eyes - too delicate for this thing)

I am obsessed with this! It works!
I love this product! I debated long and hard because the price for what it is is absolutely ridiculous! I mean, $70 for a very small piece of plastic and a tiny metal blade?!!! And don’t bother debating if you want the pretty rose gold lettering because it rubbed off in less than a month. Insert eye roll. I shopped around and couldn’t find it much cheaper. I knew this is what I needed, so I sucked it up and used my credit card rewards and bought it for myself. My 5 stars goes entirely to the product itself, even if the price is highway robbery. I LOVE THIS THING! Either the people who claim it doesn’t do anything don’t shed skin, or I’m incredibly dirty and disgusting. It doesn’t work the second I jump in the shower, but if I wait a while in a steamy shower or bath, it scrapes off gobs and gobs of dead skin all over my face and body! I truly think I could just spend hours just scraping dead skin gunk off of myself. Gross, I know, but I don’t care. It’s addicting. I do have a real life though and haven’t had hours to give to skin scraping yet. I also do find it works better after I’ve lathered and rinsed off all over. I purchased for my face a Luna Foreo around the same time so i can’t give total credit to the Leedge, but my pores really do look smaller than ever! My skin just feels so good after using this! When I use it, I try to follow the directions similar to dry brushing for your lymph system. Therefore, make sure you’re drinking extra water and taking care of yourself to support and detoxification you may experience.

Great scraper, but price gouge
It's amazing how simple yet effective this little scraper is. Effectively scrapes dead skin cells off easily -- I was surprised how much came off! (FYI -- I use this on wet skin in the shower.) The thing that shocks me is how they jacked the price up to $60-$70 these days. Unbelievable how much they’re willing to try and gouge consumers. I agree with the guy who wrote it’s just a piece of plastic with a metal insert. [Search "price gouge" on the reviews for the blue version.] A $3 ice scraper is just a larger version of this item. I paid $13 in 2014, and even back then I saw an article on DailyMail that said the original price of this tool was £5 in England (that's about $7 USD). Reviewers on Amazon mention a price around $7 too. Search “Le Edge” on HuffingtonPost UK and a similar article will come up. I paid extra to give it a try in 2014, and grudgingly, it works. But I refuse to be gouged so outrageously in 2019. I came back to purchase more (as extras and gifts), but I will definitely NOT buy until the price drops to the original (or similar to what I paid in the first place, which was already inflated).

For people who are hard on their skin, this can be a game changer.
For years I struggled with acne, ingrown hairs, and bumps on my face and arms. Because I have an active lifestyle and occupation with exposure to grease, dirt, and grime, simply scrubbing wasn't enough. It seemed like I always had an oily layer that I couldn't completely clean with face scrubs, wash cloths, or loofahs. I am of Mediterranean decent, and I was aware of strigils used by the Romans. It seemed like a good idea, and I came up with a number of ad-hoc strigils which worked with substantial results. Finding LeEdge was a game changer, it lasted longer than the ones I made myself, and it also seemed to clean better. It was several times more effective at removing dead skin on the soles of my feet when compared to the pumice stone I was using previously. After several months of daily use, LeEdge has made a measurable impact on the condition of my skin. With a proper technique and application, the red bumps are gone, and areas that were prone to peeling are now clean and clear. I'm constantly amazed at the amount of dead skin this thing can remove in one pass! The price is high for what it is, but at the same time, I can't see it ever wearing out or needing replacement. One and done!
