Beautiful book
I really liked the illustrations. Perhaps this is not the easiest story for a graphic novel but an enjoyable read.

Great story, with amazing art
The Kindle version is a great. I haven't read the books so cant discuses how close it follows the plot, but as a comic story its great and easy to follow, with great graphic. I would highly recommend give it a try.

An accurate portrayal
I bought this to share with my non-reading sons, and so far I’ve read it. It’s pretty good. It contains all of the same storyline as the books, and so far, nothing seems to have been left out. I’m happy with this, it’s a good adaptation. The artwork is stunning as well. The characters look pretty much how I imagined them to be when I read the original book. Will I read the next volume. Yes, I will!

A great and faithful adaptation
I’m going to repeat what a lot of others have said about this. A great and faithful adaptation of the book Dune. I really enjoyed this read and the graphics are pretty cool also. The cover and pages feel great in my hand as I read this. The dust jacket is stunning (front and back) as is the image of the sandworm. I recommend this for any Dune fan to have as part of their collection. I’m so glad I have this. I love it!

Excellent and faithful visual version of this classic
Absolutely fantastic visual interpretation of the first part of Dune. Faithful, comprehensive and with great art that really immerses you in this wonderful story. I cannot wait for the next installment. Highly recommended.

worth a look
this is a solidly made hardback with DJ that feels well made. its in full colour and nicely illustrated, although i guess the appreciation of art is subjective. i have read the Dune series of book/comics/seen the fil/tv series so i know what to expect and this is a nice adaptation of the original book as a graphic novel. i am aboard for volume two.

I was fifteen the first time I read Frank Herbert’s classic, Dune. I was immediately swept away to his universe, and my imagination was immediately fed! Oh, what a diet of sight, sound, color, emotion, politics, warfare, and religion he fed me! The movie of this book (before there was one) unraveled in my mind, and I ingested every moment. It was such a delicious experience that I decided right then and there that I would revisit this wonderful place. Since that moment in 1981, there have been two movies, a miniseries, a graphic novel, and various other stories, as well as Frank Herbert’s son continuing the series with science Fiction author, Kevin J. Anderson. All of which is good. Please note I said good. With the exception of the continuing series by Herbert and Anderson, the images provided have not really lived up to what my imagination conjured up so long ago (and even now, since I am giving the original a re-read.), but that is not a knock against this book. Dune: The Graphic Novel is a lovely work of art. The art in it is simple, yet beautiful. Each page was deliciously drawn and colored and added to what my imagination conjured up. The pages are thick in this book, which made me feel like I was skipping ahead, but in reality, I wasn’t. A major plus for this book is that it brought back all of those feeling from when I first read Frank Herbert’s novel. I am looking forward to getting my hands on volume 2. It is on several wish lists, and my wife knows what a Dune fan I am. All in all I give this book 4.5 bookmarks out of 5!
