Works best on table top for me
This has been great to use as it allows my head and neck to rest as I look face down. I found it works best for me on a table top, trying it in my lap was too uncomfortable - even with pillows to prop it up. I agree with the review that it is challenging to use this with glasses. Another challenge is the crossbar for the headrest - it is always around my chin so I wrapped a hand towel around it. The headrest can move up and down and tilts but does not move front/back - which would address the crossbar issue for me. Using the mirror is challenging but I did get it to work. Overall, this has allowed me to get through these days being far more comfortable than just keeping my head down on its own or propping my head with my hands/arms - which is very tiring and makes my neck/shoulders very sore.

Worth the $ for retina surgery recovery
My husband had retina surgery and had to remain face down for 5 days. This item saved his sanity and his back. He was able to pass the time looking at his phone and watching TV. He says he doesn’t know how he would have gotten through it without this setup. Really high quality item. Comfortable to use. Easy to set up with clear instructions. Would 100% recommend for anyone who is required to remain face down after surgery.

It works!!
This is a life saver. Makes keeping your head down much easier. Today is day three after surgery to reattach my retina so I have been using it almost 100% of the time. Comfortable on your lap during the day. Makes watching TV possible to help pass the time and the mirror is very clear. I have a pillow top mattress and it works great with the adjustable heights for that and seems like it would be able to fit any matress. This is a good product that makes a difficult surgery easier to recover from. I would definitely recommend this product and I am glad I have it.

Some help with a very uncomfortable procedure
Bought this for upcoming vitrectomy surgery for a macular hole. Received the device a few days ahead of surgery to become familiar with it. The directions following surgery were for me to keep my head down 22 out of 24 hours a day. I admit I have not been the best patient at following this direction. I am not able to use the device for sleeping as I cannot use it to lie on my stomach for any length of time as it wrecks my back so that particular function is not able to be used. Using it sitting on a stool in front of my chair has been helpful in relieving neck pain though and I like the portability of the apparatus. It seems to be well made with quality materials and padding is adequate. The mirror works ok but I have used it more by just holding in my hand than with my head resting on the pillow. I think that the extension on the head platform should be about an inch longer to accommodate thicker mattresses and the mirror would benefit by being somewhat larger or at least as large as the pad that it sits on if used with the device. It is somewhat less cost than the rental suggested by the docs office but that item has no portability. I only hope that I do not have to have this surgery done on the other eye.

Helped a lot following vitrectomy
Bought this for my wife following her victrectomy ad she needed to keep her head down for 4 days. This device worked well for her. It also worked well to help buckle her in the car on the ride home as well as her follow-up appointment the following day. It’s a bit expensive … but well worth the cost!

This system was wonderful for my face down period after vitrectomy surgery
This is a great product to have if you need to be face down after eye surgery. They wanted me face down on the ride home from the hospital. I was able to hold this system in my lap and be face down. Then when we got home, we set it up on the bed so that I could lie down. The next day I was able to use it sitting up. I only had to be face down for 2 days but I'm glad I had this product. It's handy and configurable for whatever you need. I put a coffee table next to the bed and set the device on it. I put pillows on the table so that I had a place to rest my arms and put my supplies (chargers, kleenex, etc) on. Doing it this way I didn't need to reconfigure the product for sitting up. I could just carry it back and forth, which was very convenient. The product came with a list of helpful information too. It allowed me to think ahead and get prepared before my surgery. The folks at this company seem really nice and caring. If you have to be face down, I'd recommend this.

Served the purpose
This contraption served the purpose. It is not as described. Way too expensive. Could not use the front pad at all. Makes no sense to me that it is part of this product. I had major eye surgery and it was fine for the ride home from the hospital and the fact that I had to be face down for 5 days. It is not comfortable at all and the pad sticks to your forehead. I wanted to send it back but could not because I had time constraints. Anyway, it definitely served the purpose but could have a nicer pad and cover and price should be lower.

What an AMMAZZZZING Company support for this life saving product !!!!!
As a veteran health care professional , I feel compelled to write this review . After reading and reviewing products very thoroughly, I chose this equipment to respond to my needs post retinal surgery which would require me to keep my face in one position- face down. First , the equipment came on time and properly boxed and the product is as described - it is well conceived and well made. My challenge - I know I am not the most savvy when it comes to adjusting equipment and in this case, this equipment needed adjusting to my height when I am sitting at a table etc. I phoned the telephone number helpline and spoke to Benjamin who has decades of experience with this type of equipment and asked for his assistance. Benjamin was so professional. He is so knowledgeable, helpful, patient and gracious - I can not say enough. What I was having difficulty understanding - he made it so easy peasy for me. There are handles - that easily lock the headrest into place. I know this equipment will be uber helpful to my recovery . I especially want to thank Benjamin who provided OUTSTANDING service. This made all the difference !!!!
