Tennabrax has been proven time and time again to protect optics down range. Yes, they are "plastic". That'd because I'd rather destroy a cap than rubin the threads on a Nightforce bell. You are also paying for the cla.p and thread tech that ensure protection and abuse you'll never see walking from your truck to your stand. They have features that aren't offered on many caps. Like rotating covers, That's because several scopes have diopter adjustments that spin the cap, and it's now correctable. It's ok that 100$ is too much for you, but for the rest of us buying their product for our highend glass, we're getting exactly what we wanted.

Ruggedly made, but can be difficult to completely close in cold weather.

The objective lens cap has a big lip that hits the barrel. Who forgets this when making it?? For the price, these should be premium but are not. The caps are bulky plastic. The caps do not flip open easily. I have other lens covers that are soooo good and it just highlights how bad these are. I will rate them a 2 because they are usable with a high riser and they can open and close but they are not $100 caps and are not easy to flip open or close. My lens cap should never dictate my riser height.

I may have missed that this devise is all plastic, in the description. Had I known I certainly would not have purchased. While they fit pretty good I was expecting much more for $55.00. I would not have purchased if I had known. Ridiculous price for this product.

I have approximately 35 different scopes with flip up lens covers on everyone of them. Have seen these at gun range. Not bad fit, but absolutely overpriced.! Built out of nothing but plastic material, probably less than a $1 worth. Feel less than solid. Buy Leopold or Monstrum scope covers instead. Much, much better price and quality for money. You will need two covers per scope, so $120 per scope for these Tenebraex plastic covers or a little more $ for the much better Leopold aluminum lens covers. Otherwise buy Monstrum covers at $20 per scope. Very good fit, same if not better quality than these Tenebraex covers, at 1/6 the cost.. I don't understand how anyone aware of Leopold or Monstrum scope covers would buy these ridiculously overpriced Tenebraex covers
