works fine
I used this to put a Radeon 7770 in a Dell tower for my son. There is no place to mount the card so I had to lay it at the bottom of the case on a piece of non-conductive foam but it worked out because I fed the HDMI cable through an empty pci opening in the back of the case and it is tight enough that it keeps the card from moving around. Besides, its a desktop so he shouldn't be moving it while it is on anyways.Back to the cable...no issues at all. I am a server guy by day so I am around parts like this all of the time and the build quality seems reasonable. I wouldn't play tug of war with it but the connections should hold up under normal circumstances. The system booted without issue and my son took off increasing the video settings in his games.Just a note...I fear that some of the negative comments about system crashes post cable install may be due to overheating in cases that were not designed for larger cards and under powered power supplies. Make sure your power supply can handle a larger video card, especially during gaming when the wattage draw is at its highest. If you have concerns, they make supplemental GPU power supplies that slide into an open DVD-ROM slot.

It worked! A couple of inches of breathing room made all the difference in the world to my Cross Fire setup.

Very poor solder job, misaligned joints
After reading other reviews I decided to check under the blue tape and found a horrible solder job with misaligned joints and obvious shorts. It looked so bad I decided to not test for shorts with my multimeter and replaced it with a 3M twin axial cable (8KC3-0726-0250). It costs six times more but is top quality and works great. Buy at your own risk.

When they work, they work.
2/3 units were DOA. The third has worked for months.

Meh.
This would have been perfect for moving my Radeon HD7950 down a couple of slots in my computer, however, the breadboard that connects the PCIe cables is too large to fit into the back slots. It does not compensate for the size of the motherboard to fit accurately in the computer case. This prevents a solid fit in the back slots of the computer, which does not allow the screws the hold it place. This would be a good purchase if you are bitcoin mining and don't need it in a case.

These things work wonders
I ordered 3 of these, though the reviews were poor and they were twice the price of the others out there I was skeptical. Well I am running 3 7950 Gigabyte WF3 off of a 850w corsair 850tx in open air milk crate without any problems. Just putting one of these on lowered the temp by 10 degrees Celsius! They have been running for 2-3 weeks flawlessly.Overall construction was not " cheap" it came in a antistatic bag, really a solid product.Biggest Con I have found is the price was a little high, but I am very satisfied and will order more soon!

Good product
Great cables, just wish they were longer and more flexible after installing them.

DOA, Poorly soldered connections.
Plugged in, worked for non device driver generic VGA, then installed device driver on EVGA GT 640, flashing screen, random restart (MB can be restarted by pci 16x), plus noise through firewire on-board port on motherboard, rolled back driver versions, same issue. Then tried a GTX 9600 (Older card), had the same issues. Tried a spare other brand riser, and everything worked fine.Based on this and looking at the card end there is very poor connections from the board to the legs of the cable, tons of extra flux in the area but a lack of soldier covering the connections. Connections are not properly separated, some of the legs are not perfectly aligned meaning their could be cross contamination between legs. Then the shielding is a cheap piece of thin plastic, there are a hundred ways to shield this properly protecting the legs from the bending cable for less than a penny more.Doing this right would only cost pennies more per unit for the right set up to align the legs and put the proper amount of solder on it, charge me a dollar more and make a card that actually works for the intended application for a 16x riser. Even though I got a defective card I am returning for a refund due to the poor quality of manufacturing.
