Portwest S466 Men's Waterproof Hi Vis Traffic Jacket - Reflective Safety Coat

Purchased this as and for a work jacket, I cycle to and from work in the dark, in all weathers (I can't drive) and so cycling is my only form of transport, therefore I needed a good quality jacket, and this fits the bill, nice and strong, also nice and warm, fits me true to size and waterproof/weatherproof 100%. Good deep pockets, handy inside pocket, and small zip lined pocket, once all zipped and button up, 100% protected from the weather, reflects bright, when hit by car headlights, BSBS (be safe be seen) is imperative when cycling in theses dark morning and evening, like the hood also, therefore would highly recommend. Have not washed it to date so can't comment on this James Brown - Liverpool - UK, true Amazon reviewer.

Excellent coat, Hi-Viz, warm, waterproof and very cosy. 2 front pockets, the hood is concealed in the collar and the collar buttons up around the neck. Despatched next day and very reasonable priced, had coats like this before, but this beats them all.

Update: After a few uses I noticed the zip is sometimes hard to get started. It is easy to get the parts poorly aligned then use force to get the zip to move. Maybe this is why other reviewers ended up with broken zips. I've smeared a little clear silicone grease on the zip parts and it is working more easily. I think the problem is that this zip doesn't automatically align the four parts (2 zipper ends and 2 sliders), at least not as well as my other jacket zips do. I'm still very happy with the jacket. I'll just have to be careful with it every time I zip it up. (The silicone grease really did help though.) ----- Honestly, it just does what it sets out to do. It's reasonably priced, bright, reflective, rainproof, gives some warmth, and it's oversized enough to wear layers of clothing underneath. You might even want to go down one size, but this style of coat is meant to be oversized, and it doesn't look comically big. I haven't used it in torrential rain or had it long enough to see if the zip lasts but so far it seems good. I haven't felt hot in it - in fact I felt a bit chilly despite temperatures being around 10°C. On its own it wont keep you warm in sub-zero weather, so wear extra layers under it if needed. I wouldn't mind having more pockets and a drawstring round the waist to keep warmth in. I like the blue/yellow colour scheme. It's less nerdy than all-yellow (yes, I can be shallow) yet maintains hi-viz and ensures contrast. I'm happy to chuck it on at night to walk the dog or pop round the local shop. Wearing black at night is such a bad practice, yet most of us do it too often.

Good size, I’m normally a XL and that’s very big so I got another at large which is perfect. Very warm and dry, the hood is not amazing but I’m for light shower. The coat itself keep you very dry, nice and lightweight when on site too.

Has been exallent over the winter kept me warm and dry especially when I've been to Scotland. Would buy again

génial, enfin une veste qui tienne chaud, qui soit imperméable et qui me permet de me balader avec mon p’tit amour même de nuit !! quand à la taille et jien peut-être grand car je rentre dedans alors que celle essayer en magasin étaient toutes trop petites

Il faut prévoir une taille de plus et l'ajustement est parfait, le tissus a l'air de bonne qualité.

J'ai dû m'y prendre à deux fois pour trouver le taille qui me convenait. Le M que je sélectionne habituellement était bien trop grand. Finalement le S me convient. Le départ des manches n'est pas très large en comparaison avec la longueur des manches. J'espère que cela ne me gênera pas sur mon prochain chantier...
