Totally worth the purchase!
Amazon says, "You could mention "thickness," "sheerness," and "warmth" in the review, but what does that even mean when talking about a computer? If you are looking for a coat, and Amazon pops this computer up, now you know why. They think it is something you wear. All that aside, I bought this mini computer for use in astrophotography. I know right there that most of you are already checking out. And that is a shame. Because this little baby is great for my needs, and I will bet it would be good for any need you might have for a mini computer. It has a decent processor. It will not win any races. But it is good. It is all solid state - no hard drive platters that need to spin up and no needles to skip back and forth over the surface of the drive looking for data. She does start up quickly. Only has 128 gigs but let us all be honest and admit that most people do not really need more than that unless you are building a "video" collection. For me - after stripping out the normal bloatware that just seems to be on any PC you get these days - I installed five pieces of software - all related to controlling my telescope and my cameras. This little guy runs on 12-volt DC just like all my telescope mounts and cameras. I can haul all this stuff out under a dark sky, set it up, connect it to my Rockman 200W power station, and start imaging. Also, since it has Windows 10 Pro, this allows me to also set this up at home and use Windows Remote Desktop from my main PC to stay nice and toasty warm in my office while controlling all my stuff out in the Minnesota winter weather of zero degrees! With 2 standard USB 2.0 ports, 2 USB 3.0 and 1 USB Type C (but only 5gbps), it has a lot of you ports you will need. The two USB 2.0 probably go for your mouse and keyboard. And they are conveniently "on the back" of the device along with the HDMI, ethernet, and power ports. Why an ethernet port? Because ethernet is faster than Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi cannot touch it. And probably will not in our lifetime as both keep getting faster. But the benefit for me is that using the ethernet port lets me pull my pictures down (and there are lots of high-resolution images for every session I run) much more quickly than Wi-Fi. About 25 times faster as best I can tell. You "can" attach 3 monitors to this, but two are to the HDMI in the back and the other would be the Type C USB port in the front. I mention this because you may find this works well as an office (or Office even) computer. But if you are looking for a high-end gaming PC, then stop looking at computers in this price range. Real gaming PCs cost 8 to 20 times more than this one does. And you get what you pay for. But that aside, this little machine is performing very well for me. I have a unique application for it. It runs several programs at one that all communicate with each other to take high resolution pictures, control where a telescope is pointed by looking through a guide scope, and all the while letting me watch the whole thing from inside the house running Windows Remote Desktop. So yes, it multi-tasks well. But you will not be rendering Adobe Premier Pro projects through Media Encoder while editing audio in Audition and creating movie posters in Photoshop at the same time on this little guy. Not at any kind of reasonable speed. But office type work? Surfing the web? Playing Minecraft? Sure. I am sure this baby can play a mean game of solitaire. All in all, this one hit all the buttons I needed pushed right now. USB 3, 128 gigs of storage, 8 gigs of ram. For a small, specialized application like mine, this is perfect. Even using Remote Desktop, it is responsive - even over 2.4 ghz Wi-Fi. (because 2.4 reaches farther than 5.0 since you know you were wondering why). Worth the price of admission - especially when there was a $30 coupon at checkout.

Value, value, value, it's worth it
So to explain this mini pc as anything other than a fully functional pc is just untrue. This small pc has 3 open storage slots a micro sd, nvme, and 2.5in ssd sata 3 with a total of 4 storage options. Comes with a 128GB nvme installed. If you add a 2.5in ssd you will need your own cable nvme although slightly more expensive per size you won't need anything else. This month I have purchased 2 computers this being the slower cheaper second purchase. The integrated graphics is enough to run OSRS runelite at about 50fps with the gpu option enabled this is the same as my ryzen 3 computer. As expected simple things like osrs run as well as civilizations 6 on medium. I have not yet tested high because it failed to load first time I tried a new game in high settings for memory and gpu. Not necessarily meaning it will not run I had other tabs open and was downloading. Pretty snappy for a basic computer if you are not using this for anything past home office and running emulators or xbox 360 era games you will be fine. I don't believe this computer was meant in any way to be a game station but im sure many readers are more interested in the limitations rather than the praise. I would not buy this unit if you wish to upgrade the memory or add anything other than storage. The unit has 8GB Ram at a speed of 2133MHz not the fastest for DDR4 but it is acceptable for basic to light tasks. The unit has 4 usb ports two of them 2.0 and two of them 3.0. This unit is not a big multi tasker but you can use your internet browser as well as other programs at the same time within reason. I had to restart one time with installing 12 games and a few programs with initial setup. The unit only had 3 programs enabled to run at startup which is bloatware free as it gets with computers now a days. Unit is fairly snappy getting things done loading this or that. Much better than my hp pavilion all in one that was new in 2014 but not as snappy as my ryzen 3 3200u laptop. The graphics in my pictures are running the unit off a tv and not a monitor so the display is not going to be the same on a real monitor it would be much better. This unit would make an excellent work from home device for a home office or a business to swap out older pcs that run cash register programs or basic business programs. Takes up much less space and more realistic in a setting where the computer will always be used for the same basic purposes. I would definitely recommend purchasing these mini pcs for a fleet purchase for business offices or similar need. Bluetooth and wifi built in USB C also on front of device. This is not a gaming rig or 4k video editing system. I would not buy this unit if I was planning on upgrading the CPU or Memory (possible to soldier new memory but vast waste of time and effort). Upon testing the multi tasking I was able to run the binding of isaac game slightly laggy while having open google chrome running a YouTube video, xbox console app open and running, discord open and running as well as the steam app. I hope this is enough information for someone deciding what to do. Xbox one controller pairs with unit instantly with usb cable like all windows 10 systems.

Failed after 10 months, warranty not honored, terrible customer service, DO NOT BUY
This little box has a lot features. I put in 1TB SSD, put Ubuntu on it and it worked great as a little media server. However, it only lasted 10 months. Did not boot anymore, got stuck on the BMAX logo. This seems to be a common problem.I contacted their customer support. I did not expect much, based on experiences of other reviewers, and indeed nothing happened. I threw the B3-plus somewhere in a corner, and moved on to a HP Elitedesk 800 (excellent box btw). Then 4, yes four!, months later I got a reply from Bmax support. After some email exchange and me trying to reset the BIOS etc, all to no avail, the verdict came in: the motherboard is broken. I asked if this is under warranty. The BMAX reply was that this falls under the 1 year warranty, but unfortunately my warranty period had expired 2 months ago. Doh!I explained that my first email was from 4 months ago, so the failure occurred within the warranty period. I sent them a screen shot of the email date and asked them to please sent me a new motherboard. Yeah right. After that, the email exchange went silent, and I have not heard anything for 3 months now. This is by far one of the most dis-honest, sleazy, creepy, slow, crappy companies I have dealt with. I would recommend staying away from this, there are better options available.PS: For those of you that have one: the B3 has two SSD slots, one SATA SSD and one PCI-NVME SSD. However you have to pick either-or, and cannot use them both a the same time.
