NIKON HB-25 Lens Hood

The product was exactly what I needed to fix a problem with the old lens shade. Service and delivery were perfect.

ordered the lens hood and it is an original Nikon product - and Nikon products are always awesome to begin withI priced the lens hood at several other online retailers and ended up buying this one as it was the exact same thing but for a lot lessthe packaging was an original Nikon box and it arrived without any damage in less than a week

Compared to the Fujifilm hoods, Nikon hoods don't latch very well and they are flimsy. Nikon probably makes more profit selling replacement hoods than they do on the lenses. The only good thing is that they are better than the off brand alternatives. The Fujifilm hoods (which don't mount on Nikon lenses unfortunately) are about twice as thick and latch much better.

I bought this aftter my dearly beloved D300 fell out of the car when I opned the door and broke the nuetral filter the lans cap and the hood. All replaced via Amazon's prompt delivery,,, Oh and the camera is still wprking well too.

They should have better description of product. It didn't fit my lens and I don't know what size lens it would fit. The part that should attach to the lens was huge. I have had several slr cameras and that hood did not fit any of my lenses.

This is a well-made and effective lenshood, for the Nikkor 24-120mm f3.5-5.6 VR zoom. Pictures from the lens definitely suffers without it.However, when I go to busy pubs and venues to photograph bands, the slightest knock, or even fairly hard general use elsewhere, causes the hood to fall off. This latest replacement is my third. Maybe the attaching lugs are too small or too prone to warp.

The lense hood is the correct one for Nikon's 28 to 85 lense

Although you can buy copies, this was the genuine Nikon item and I was helped by the excellent price. It came from Germany but still quite quickly.

Needed it for my Nikon 24-84 f/2.8-4 lens. Better than a screw hood, easier to reverse and pack away with camera.
