We love these “bowl plates.” They are perfect for most pastas, stews, shrimp and grits, or anything that has a significant amount of sauce or fluid.

These pasta bowls are just the right size and depth for many dishes, including pasta, cereal, and even makes for a great curry bowl. The look is classy and matches any and all serving styles. The weight of these are not so heavy that they seem bulky, in fact they are lighter than they look but definitely can handle a hearty meal. The dish looks beautiful on my red pottery dinner plates. I highly recommend these pasta dishes. By the way, the seller did a great job packing these dishes and the fast service is much appreciated. Mangiare!

I love these bowls and use them everyday however, after 5 years they developed fine black cracks. I will probably re purchase these bowls to be on the safe side.

These high-rim plate-bowls are perfect for certain entrées in that gray area between solid food and soup. They hold liquid well, but allow for the use of a steak knife. Yet they are elegant enough to serve as the main place setting. I like their lighter weight, that gives the feel of porcelain, and the smooth surface finish that’s easy to clean. The reflection in the photo implies there is a recessed area in the bottom of the bowl. No such recess exists; these are flat-bottomed bowls with curved edges—plain, simple, light weight, highly glazed, and temperature proofed (yet inexpensive)! No, I’m not associated with the manufacturer, but I am an accomplished chef and technical writer.

Perfect size for pasta or a larger dinner type salad. Nice weight and feel.

This set is elegant & well-made and it's a bit thick and doesn't get very hot when used in microwave! It can be used for pasta and serving plates for salad and rice too. It was well packaged and delivered fast!

Little bit small, but still like it..

These bowls come very well packed. I bought these because I bought the 9.5 inch bowls which are quite large and I'm going to use them as serving bowls. These are the 8.5 inch bowls and are about the right size for daily use. I also have a set of the salad bowls which are quite high. They all look good on my table. In the picture is a stack of the 9.5" bowl, the 8.5" bowl and the salad bowl. The single bowl is the 8.5" bowl

I read reviews stating people had been disappointed with the quality of these bowls, let me tell you these bowls are just perfect. I've had a few sets of bowls purchased and these are top quality. Very happy, not a single defect on any of the 6 bowls and they look and feel like far more expensive bowls.

More cream colour than white. Quality is ok for the price paid.
