Tomee Aluminum Case Cover (Silver) for PS Vita (2000 Model)

Just got a Vita (slim) this week and had a heck of a time finding a decent looking, affordable case for it online. I found this on Amazon, ordered on the 15th and had it here Saturday the 17th with Prime shipping. Obviously I can't comment on the durability and longevity but so far it is looking real good. The case is a combination of hard plastic and aluminum. The 2 piece snap on frame is thick plastic and the contact surfaces are aluminum. The whole thing has a premium look and feel. It provides adequate contact/scratch protection especially to the back which was by biggest concern. It feels great in the hands. All the ports and buttons line up well and are easily accessible. So far I am very pleased with this purchase especially considering the fantastic price. Update: Vita took about a 4-5 foot drop on to the laminate floor. No damage to the Vita or the case.

Been on the go with my vita lately, forced back into the awful case market these things have. Pretty sure I’ve owned one of each existing case at this point. For anyone shopping for one - from experience the silicone ones are actually abysmal, the other non Tomee brand aluminum cases are so bulky the button feel is completely compromised. The plastic half cases are great but mine ended up with plastic yellowing. Seems like a sturdy case, protection is there. Slim compared to the other aluminum ones. The main reason I’m happy with this in general is there’s minimal compromise with button feel which seems to be the problem with most if not all vita cases being bulky. I’m not saying this is perfect! Nothing beats the feel of a case-less PS vita. All of the other cases have set the bar pretty low - this one so far is the best.

The case didn't fit quite right and seems to have some sort of tacky substance on edges, like some sort of glue. Once it got on and I removed the tacky stuff, it was okay I suppose. Not the most comfortable but I'm wondering if mine was a defect molding. I will say, it greatly reduced touching the rear panel by mistake. Easily the biggest vita design flaw.

The adhesive to the metal parts isn’t strong enough to stick. As you see in the picture. I’ve only had it for 1 day. It also doesn’t close on the bottom all the way. However, I still like the case for what it’s worth. I wish it didn’t fall apart the day after I purchased it. I will look into others.

It took me a while to decide on Vita case as many have poor reviews on Amazon. I picked this one for my PS Vita slim and it fits perfectly and doesn't block or obscure any of the buttons due to it's thickness. I did not have any problems with it snapping together like reviewers have had with other aluminum cases.

To my knowledge, the vita market is terrible with cases. This is the best reviews I’ve seen so far and they’re definitely true, only my first 10hrs with it on but feels no different than with regular vita in hands and not heavy or bulky by any means. Analog sticks also aren’t an issue

Looks amazing. Fit perfectly and will keep my electronics safe from scratches.

Tends to not stay clipped together unless you squeeze very hard but its ok and offers good protection.

La funda cierra perfectamente sin que tenga ningun juego o lugar libre que despues cause rayones, no se mueve nada, el unico pero que podria ponerle es que en el orificio de los sticks no deja suficiente espacio si utilizas capuchones protectores por lo que en mi caso tuve que quitarlos para que los sticks pudieran moverse en su totalidad
