Easy
Easiest to use in my opinion. Quality is good.

This is the best
Has a standby battery life of nearly 2 full days if you turn the backlight down. Meaning you can pick it up and record instantly instead of waiting several seconds for it to power on. You can also scrub through recordings and overwrite sections with new audio right from the device. Way better than a Zoom H1n in my opinion. It seems to automatically do as much as it can to avoid clipping much like a phone does. The USB-c charging port is a major bonus too, since I can use my phone charger in a pinch. This is a certified 5 star gadget right here ladies and gentlemen.

Feels Cheap
It’s made from a very cheap plastic. I was hoping for something that felt solid in my hand but the cheap plastic makes it very light, easy to break and I’m scared of dropping the thing. Also, the function to get recordings onto your phone is done via connecting to your phones personal hotspot (so you can’t be connected to Wi-Fi as well). This is a VERY slow way to transfer and takes as long as the length of the recording itself, you also have to stay on the Apps page while it transfers so that’s inconvenient. I like that it has a USB-C charging/data connection and the back is pretty decent - half drained from 8 recordings that are around 30min in length each. I would definitely prefer something that felt more sturdy. Oh and the buttons are the cheapest of the cheap. Won’t buy again if it breaks or gets stolen.

False advertising! Worthless product! Dictation Software discontinued!
Can't even use the VoiceTracer for what I purchased it for. The product literature falsely indicates it includes Philips Speech Recognition Software DVT2805. The software is discontinued on Philips website and is not included in the packaging. The software isn't available anywhere else either as it is specifically made by Nuance Dragon Naturally Speaking as a special edition for voice recorders. When looking on Nuances website the only available options at the cheapest if the $200 Dragon Home. Hopefully someone will sue them for false advertising.

Nice, but disappointing.
I previously had a Philips VoiceTracer digital recorder that I liked and was looking forward to this new one. It has some nice features, but a few things about it were disappointing. First, the volume level of recordings was rather low even when holding the recorder and dictating directly into it. A recording with the device a couple feet away on a table was barely picked up. Second, it was difficult to hear recordings when playing them back. As mentioned in other reviews, the playback speaker on the recorder is very small and the playback volume is quite low/soft even when turning up the volume level as high as it goes. This difficulty even was the case when I talked loudly into the recorder to make sure a good recording was made; but when playing the recording back, I still had to hold the speaker up near my ear to clearly hear it. Lastly, I found using the recorder, the controls and interface, a little "finicky" and not as intuitive as I would have liked. The overall size of the recorder being very small is nice because it doesn't take up a lot of space, is easy to put in a pocket and go, etc., but on the other hand being so small can make it a bit difficult to hold and use the controls. I would have lived with the annoying controls and size, but the poor recording level and very low playback sound were deal-breakers, and I returned the recorder.
