No instructions
Well, I give it a 4 out of 5 for 2 reasons. Absolutely no instructions whatsoever. The only thing you have to go by is the crappy pictures here in the listing on Amazon. I'll post some pictures to help those in the future. The other thing is each piezo is not labeled head and rim, so plug it into your brain and tap each one and label it accordingly. It's not that difficult to figure out, but annoying. And you also have to remove the grommet from your vent hole to accommodate the jack and yes, it has to be a metal shell. It is a solid kit and the build quality is pretty good however.......Go e-drum, you could do better.... DO BETTER!

Jack will not fit wood drum shells
This trigger has ok performance when you get it dialed in. The down side( pretty big down side) is that the Jack on this trigger is too short to extend through a wood shell when using the vent hole. I removed my vent hole grommet on Yamaha stage customs and they did not extend through the hole. Unless you want to use no redo head, you will need to cut and extend the wires through the hole. Frustrating. Also, if the Jack is hanging loose, you will get vibration triggering/double triggering. Amateur mistake from this company.

Solid!
awesome DYI trigger to convert an acoustic drum or to replace an existing trigger. The only issue I had was that the sensors are not marked to know which is TRS or Rim/Head with dual zone modules.
