Exceeds Expectations
I never say this, but in the few short weeks I've owned the Inada Songo Dreamwave Massage chair it has changed my life for the better. I swear this is NOT a sales pitch and I have no reason to promote this product - I just want other people who experience muscle aches and cramps to know there's an alternative. Initially I trialed the machine at an electronics department store about 4 hours from my home. A hell of a drive but the trek was well worth it. After my first run on the Sogno it "popped" a knot out in my shoulder that I must of had for years, yet not known it. I ran through a myriad of program and settings for a little over an hour before being politely asked to purchase the chair or leave. My body was tingling with both relief and relaxation but my wallet remained closed, I knew Amazon would make more sense to me financially. Anyways after purchasing and receiving the chair each massage thereafter has been both therapeutic and relaxing. For example every evening I run the "Sleep" massage that gently but thoroughly puts pressure on each side of my body and stretches both my shoulders and neck. Thereafter I sleep so soundly that my typical wake-up of three to four times a night is completely eliminated. I literally sleep like a baby again. The average run time of a massage is 15 minutes I believe, but there's a 10 minute massage as well entitled "Quick". This massage combines all the functionality of what the chair can do in a speedy yet functional rub down. The bottom line is I am extremely satisfied with what this chair can do. Yes it's expensive but simply stated you get what you pay for. There's not another chair on the market that can cover so many shiatsu (pressure) points on your body. Plus the longevity of the Songo Dreamwave is rated for 25 years when using it at least once a day. That's a lot of massages. If you paid your masseuse for that length of time it would be A LOT more than what you're paying for this chair. If nothing else you owe it to yourself to at least experience what an Inada massage chair can do.

Weak back massage
My parents have the exact same model and the one I received from Amazon does not work properly. The back massage component is not nearly as strong as it should be on the lowest setting and even increasing the level with the 3D back function does not increase the strength level. I wonder if this is a malfunction or my chair is defective. The air pressure is great and otherwise the chair works well, but the back massage is the most important for me and so I am disappointed....

Dreamwave
It was delivered on time, and did require some assembly. I love it, though I would recommend looking at the high end zero-g brands out there, and testing them before spending $8k on this. Inada is really good, but there may be better for the money.

So glad I purchased this chair!
My Inada Sogno Dreamwave was delivered to my entry hall this morning about 11:00. It took about 3 hours to open the 2 well packaged boxes and assemble the chair. As a 63 year old female, I consider that quite an accomplishment with no assistance! After assembly, I used the chair for my slightly aching, unused muscles and fell in love with this wonderful chair! I highly recommend the Inada Sogno Dreamwave to anyone who loves massages but doesn't have the time to have daily massages by a professional massage therapist. 1/29/2014 - I've had the chair for two years and still love it! I know it's pricey but I haven't regretted the purchase. I use it almost daily. 10/11/15 - I'm still using my Inada Sogno Dreamwave Massage Chair on a daily basis...it's part of my nightly routine. When something interferes and I don't get to use it my body lets me know the next day. I absolutely love the massage I get on my legs and feet! 2/16/17 - I'm sorry for taking so long to update this posting! I'm still using my chair on a daily basis when possible...I only miss once or twice a month. After five years, I think this is remarkable for a massage chair. I'm still extremely pleased with my purchase and do not regret the money I spent.

ooOHHH heaven on earth
Who wouldn't love this chair? It's amazing. We don't really use any of the manual buttons - waste too much time. We figured that we already love the preset 'Night' function the most with the Air Pressure on HIGH. It's got the perfect combination of kneading, rolling, tapping, squeezing, pushing or whatever else. I'm fairly short (5'0) but if I lay back all the way, the leg part would pull up for my soles to rest my feet flat. The 'Youth' function also does the same thing but I discovered it's not strong enough for me. But my 14-yr-old is also using it from time to time. . Every time I sit in it, I fall into that short but sweet, hazy dozing off-type of feeling where my body feels all tingly. It's definitely a plus to use right before bed. I think the arms, legs and neck massages feels the best - even the feet! The back could use more of something but now I'm just pushing it.
