It's a recycling bin... what more needs be said?
I bought these bins for my local Mosque as our community is trying to increase our efforts to recycle, reduce waste, etc... We had nothing but trash cans before so I purchased 4 of these to disperse throughout our building. So far they have been sturdy enough and durable enough. We've not had them very long so I'm not sure how well they will hold up over time. They do say their are commercial products so I'm hoping they will be as sturdy and durable as they claim. The size is nice it's tall and slim so it can fit in many places but unfortunately the recycling symbol is only on the side. So when it's up against our other bins with the narrow side out many people don't see the symbol. If we turn it on it's side so that the long side is out with the symbol visible then it takes up a lot more unnecessary space. I only purchased the bins (we have limited funds and recycling bins have fallen towards the bottom of the list of necessities for many years) but as soon as more funds are available I want to purchase the covers which make it clear that bottles should go in the bins. Maybe it's just our Muslim community but people just do not listen (despite signs right over the bin about what you can and cannot throw in it) to what we say about putting recycling in the bins. Every day I find garbage in the bins (which we have to sort out) and recycling in the garbage. So if you can I highly recommend getting the appropriate lids (their almost the same price as the bins which I think is ridiculous) so that it makes it even more painfully obvious for the lazy to know what goes in the bin and makes it more difficult to put things that don't belong in them. I really believe that the recycling symbol should be on all sides but at a minimum one large and one small side so that it's obvious no matter which way it's used. The price on this bin is better than I found on similar bins locally by about $15 but I still feel the price was too high. $35 seems high for a trash bin. A regualar bin could be purchased for much less and had I found a blue one I might have just spray painted or put a vinyl decal on the bins to make them recycling bins. Unfortunate I did not find any bright blue trash bins at that time. They feature a cinch system that's supposed to make it easy to hold the bag in place but nobody ever seems to take advantage of it even after I pointed it out. I guess old habits die hard so I'm not holding out any hope of our cleaning crew making use of the feature but it seemed to work well enough when I tried it. I'm not sure how helpful the vent channels are... the bag didn't get stuck but the we haven't had much problem with that, perhaps because our recycling is generally filled with bottles and other lightweight trash items that it doesn't create as much of a suction.

This Trash Can is Top Quality - Separate lid is not good
This is an excellent quality trash can - thick and sturdy. Its slim design makes it easy to find a place for it in a crowded garage. We discovered that the black 33 gal. trash bags from Costco fit very well. The ones sold for this can on Amazon are only 23 gal. I'm not sure how they could be large enough. Just be sure to read the review for the LID that goes with this trash can. The reviews are not good and our experience was terrible. We will just cover the can with plastic bag until a better solution can be found.

DURABLE, Good for utility Spaces
Excellent utility trash can. Extremely durable and heavy (good for not tipping over). Has optional lid which I use on the other larger Rubbermaid Trash can. Only problem is, it's expensive. Highly recommend it.

Good quality product
This is a good quality product. It's well made and sturdy. It's a good size. And holds a good amount of recyclables. I'm 5'3" the can hits a little bit above my waist. It's a taller can but on the narrower side. Because it's narrow it can easily fit in between the counter and my regular trash can. For my family of two adults and two dogs it holds a little more than a weeks worth of recyclables. I like how the can holds the trash bag in place. I don't have to worry about the trash bag sliding down every time I empty the can. I can flip the can upside down to empty the recyclables without the bag falling out. My only complaint is more a complaint about trash cans in general. And how expensive they are. I don't believe a plastic can should cost so much money. But for some reason they do. I was able to buy this can on sale for a really good price. And I'm so glad I did. I really do think it's one of the better cans out there. Although I'm not sure I would be willing to pay full price.

Wish I Would Have Known Earlier that I could Buy this Recycling Bin on Amazon
This recycling bin is exactly what I wanted but didn't know I could buy one. I thought these only came from your local recycling organization. Imagine my joy to find it on Amazon. The seller's information is correct (I mean, it's Rubbermaid, so of course it is.) so I'm not going to repeat that information. The facts are I needed a sturdy, nonleaking recycling bin for my kitchen. One that was narrow and tall. This does the trick and I love that I could choose from various colors. It holds about a week's worth of recycling for the two of us. I especially appreciate the carrying handles on the bin. They are smooth to hold and balanced just right for me to easily carry the bin. Because of its sturdiness, I can take this bin straight to our car then take it to the recycling center for our once a week visit. (No curbside recycling where I live.) If and when it needs to be cleaned we can spray it outside with the hose then let it dry in the sun. This bin a tough and I expect it last for a good many years. My only complaint is the cost but let's be honest. Rubbermaid IS quality and you get what you pay for.

Très bon produit que j'utilise comme poubelle. Avec des sac de 100litres, c'est le top. Rigide, costaud, encombrement faible poignée
