A little learning curve on using them but in the long run they work. Making a mortise is a lot simpler with the right tools !!

The bits need a lot of honing and flattening to get sharp enough to mortise. Lots of burs on the factory edge

Have small job that I need a larger mortising bit that I currently own and I thought I would give these a try. My current Powermatic bits are milled to allow the auger bit to be set 1/16-1/8" proud of the chisel housing, resulting in minimal manual cleanup. These mortising bits require the auger to be set 1/4"-3/8" proud of the chisel to clear the edges of the chisel housing. It's less work to manually cut the mortises than struggle with these bits - they are GOING BACK.

Ease of use in making bowls

Great product and price,did not disappoint

I have not as yet used them, but they do appeal to be solidly built

I have not used it yet as I need to make an adaptor for my drill press I will be using it for joining boards together

Also, make sure you have the right machine to use these kind of bits.
