8 Inch Black Pneumatic Wheel Rigid Caster

I needed a good set of pneumatic tires for a project I am working on, and checked out a few sites for the tires and swiveling base prices were 300.00 to 400.00 dollars each. I found what I needed on Amazon for a quarter of the cost! But I still need to have bearing seals to keep out the dirt and water, so I called the seller Service Caster and explained what I needed. What a great company to work with the sales person said no problem we will add it to your order! The wheels were better than I expected! And great quality!

I ordered one size by mistake and needed a smaller size. Seller accommodated me immediately and I got them faster than I expected. Great prices too. Worked perfect for my project.

I used these wheels on a dollie that I made to move the top part of a mudroom bench that weighed about 60lbs. It moved so well on the grass even where there was an incline up to my driveway. Really well constructed and sturdy. I highly recommend these.

I bought and modified a cart to use on construction sites. The plastic casters it came with were junk.... replaced them with rubber casters, and they still were not great. I splurged and got these pneumatic casters, and wish I would have gotten them earlier... completely changed the feeling of the cart, and they are QUIET! Goes through uneven terrain and bumps with ease and no noise. I take this thing down city sidewalks and through gravel and it handles it with grace. Yes, the casters are expensive (they cost as much as I paid for the entire cart), but if you want smooth and quiet casters that can handle bumps, you need to go with pneumatic. I haven't had any problems with the tires getting flat spots or losing pressure so far (3 months).

Only negative is the wheel hub is seriously rusting. It is attached to boat trailer tongue on boat launch but never enters water. But is near saltwater 24/7. Only lost 15 lbs of pressure in 2 years. Swivel works well.

Most wheels come as a set of two, but this did not. Still happy though.

I had two separate issues with the 12-in swivel caster with brake. With each issue service Caster gave unbelievably quick Pleasant and satisfactory service to resolve the issues which in both cases were after the 30-day return window at Amazon. I am speculating but I believe they carry mostly high quality products but not in the case of the larger pneumatic casters. They seem underbuilt for the declared load rating and indeed the wheel hub bent on my caster. It only had about a hundred pounds on it and it was never abused. I'm wondering if all of the pneumatic series of casters use the same gauge steel hubs and it just isn't strong enough in the larger sizes. I was using it outdoors and it's possible that it could be OK indoors on a smooth flat surface. Even though I wouldn't necessarily recommend this particular caster I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again because they will do whatever it takes to make things right and do it very quickly.

Good casters

Même en appuyant de tout mon poids (180 lbs) sur ce frein, la roue ne barre pas vraiment. Elle est seulement un peu «squeezée» mais continue de rouler. Désespéré... j’ai saisi mon marteau de caoutchouc et elle a finalement barré. Ce mécanisme est de piètre qualité. Et, pas très inventif! C’est mou! Par contre, la roue roule et pivote très bien. Mais, moi, j’avais choisi et payé pour un modèle avec un VRAI frein. Tout ça m’a coûté presque $200, transport inclus. Je suis en Estrie, Québec.
