Easy to use. Good smell. Creates a nice finish.
This wax comes in a foil tube and has the consistency of soft, creamy toothpaste. Smells better than most of the waxes I have used. And like other Meguiar’s products I have used, it is easy to apply. A little goes a long way. If you allow it to fully dry removal is a breeze. I used it on a black 2017 Acura TLX. It left a nice shiny finish. However it did not remove the fine surface scratches that are visible in the sunlight. I applied the wax 3 times to see if it would remove the scratches and it appeared to minimize the scratches but never fully removed them. This wax is a great product but not a miracle cure for scratches.

Amazing wax for dark cars!
This is the best wax I've ever used on my car. I have a mineral gray metallic BMW and after polishing and waxing I can see my face in the reflection. A coat lasts a couple of months and beads super well in the rain. My first few times of using this wax I applied by hand and used too much and it crusted a little on the edges. Fortunately the dried version is very easy to remove. I used a random orbital polisher the following times and it was way better. 3-4 dime sized drops per application in a 2 by 2 area and it shines amazingly. This is already my 2nd tube because I love how amazing this shines. I've used the Meguiar's ultimate wax and cleaner wax before this and they just didn't provide the shine this wax provides. A tip: Wax the car without any sun (even if the sun has set and it's already dark). This wax seems to not bond well to a warm-ish car body and does the best when the car body is cold.

Great product, Awkwardly in a metal toothpaste style tubing.
I couldn't agree more about how the wax in not great inside of toothpaste style tube. Not sure why it's even in something like that instead and awkward because it crumbles since it's aluminum, thin, and wrinkles quick. Aside from that the product itself works wonderfully. I've never heard of black wax so I searched Amazon and found this for a better price than most. The actual wax is gray colour and is applied/wiped off just like any other wax. Pictures attached are of my 2008 Acura TSX. The paint is better than most for its age. I'd say with this wax it does have a mirror like finish and looks newer than its age for sure. I'm sure it'll be be even better if the car was polished before hand. I applied by hand so it took about 40 mins in total to wax. Not too bad for the price at all, will consider repurchasing or might try something else.

a great wax for black
I first used the Turtle Wax "Black Box" on my truck and was really disappointed. It hardly looked any different when I was done and it was a lot of work. Next I used some Meguiar's Swirl-X followed with Meguiar's Car Cleaner Wax. The truck looked great but it was kind of a nuisance to get all the white haze from the dried wax out of the cracks . . . so I tried this - wow, I love it. It covered minor scratches, and gave my truck a deep black shine. I was surprised the truck could look better than it already did. This wax is really a different kind of wax - it comes in a tube like toothpaste, and squeezes out like toothpaste. It has a different smell to it and is a weird gray color - but it is easy to use (just like any other wax) and makes black paint look great. I highly recommend it. The only question I have is how far the tube will go - it feels like it won't stretch that far, but we'll see, it could just be that it is hard to gauge it. Update: Still like the wax, but the smell, though not unpleasant, can be strong. On a windless day I was waxing my truck in a carport (open front and back - enclosed sides)- the fumes wafted into the open garage window and collected there. The smell was so strong it really irritated my throat. I looked at the tube it comes in and it warns about eyes, nose, and throat irritation. It also wafted into the house and irritated my wife (pun intended). I had to air the garage out before being able to work there. Again - this is really a different kind of wax.It also seems more difficult than normal paste wax to tell when it has hazed over (dried)and harder to wipe off -- seems moister than normal car wax when dried. Still recommend it, but use it in a well ventilated area.

Great wax, easiest to remove once cured.
I was using the Meguiars Paste Wax for a few years until I found this black wax. The Black Wax is easiest to use and you don't need to wait long to remove it, it may take about 15-30min to cure depending on your weather conditions. In my case with hot weather and mid-high humidity it takes around 25min. A few tips on how to apply the Black Wax: 1) I strongly recommend doing a clay bar pass if you have the time (it's a 15-20min job), then go with a quick polishing pass (it's a 30-40min job, don't let the polish to dry) either by hand or with a polisher (preferred method). The result will be a contaminant-free smooth surface, worth the effort. 2) apply a light uniform coat of Black Wax with a smooth applicator (the Meguiars applicator pads are not the best. I use the Chemical Guys MIC_292_08 Premium Grade Microfiber Applicators instead -great difference, trust me). 3) Wait for 30min for the Wax to cure and use a microfiber tower to remove the Wax. I normally apply this wax every two months which is how long this wax lasts, at least under a Texas style weather conditions.

Worked well, but poor packaging.
I bought this a couple months ago, but didn't get to use it until today. This is important, because I'm about two weeks too late to be able to get it replaced. Just as I was starting to apply the wax, the bottom of the tube broke, spilling down onto my foot, which ruined a pair of my socks. Luckily it wiped easily off my shoe, so that wasn't ruined. The seam at the bottom of the tube appears to be fairly weak, so make sure you are careful when you are squeezing out the wax. I was able to do the whole wax job, just squeezing the wax out the bottom with the cap on the tube, and it worked great. My car now has a nice beautiful, highly reflective shine. Unfortunately, I have no way to store the wax that is leftover, and it will now go to waste (about 1/3 of a tube). All in all, I would recommend this product, but I would advise anyone who gets it to be careful while squeezing out the tube.

Saved me!
First let me start by letting you know that we wash our cars at least once a week and generally wax our cars once a month. So I am no stranger to car washing or car washing products. I bought this after I made the mistake of trying to use other waxes that I used on my other cars on my new black SUV. Those products seemed to work well on my other cars but left streaks and almost made my black car look dull and dirtier than when I started. Needless to say I was very upset. I talked to my neighbor and he seemed to remember there being a wax that was specifically designed for black cars and I quickly found this product. It arrived on time and as expected. It comes with the tube of "wax" and a foam applicator. I have a mechanical orbital buffer so I never used the foam applicator, but it seems to be exactly the same quality as any other foam applicator you would get from anyone else, except this one is black. After applying this wax, not only did it undo the horrible streaking and dullness from the previous wax attempt it left my brand new SUV looking better than it did when we drove it off the lot. I took care to make sure I didn't get it on any vinyl or plastic (as it says in the directions) but an occasional brush against plastic parts didn't seem to leave any permanent white marks. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with a black car.
