Excellent henna. I love that it doesn’t need hours to develop. I left it on for a few hours and the color was nice and dark. It’s the only henna that has covered my grays well.

Color: dark brown. I finally found a natural hair coloring aid that works! It provides a nice deep color that lasts. Great product!

First time buying this product and I loved it. It was super easy to use on my locs, which are waist length. Not much staining on fingers or sink or shower, the dark splashes washed out easily with soap and water. Smell wasn't as strong for me, and it washed off pretty easily. I used a regular shampoo and conditioner and my hair feels great. I think my hair is actually stronger, but will wait for a few weeks to be sure. I only needed to do the roots and it was enough for my whole head. Got the dark brown packet but it turned my hair black, which is OK for me. Maybe it will lighten up? I've bought two more dark brown packets for next time. If they are still turning my hair black, I may try the light brown. My hair is naturally dark brown.

You need to to take this product OFF the shelves immediately!!! I am a natural malanin female and I bought this product because it said plant base. I have used Henna before with absolutely no problem until now... I put this dye in my hair and now I have at least 1st degree burns through out my entire head, face, neck and ears! I didn't realize what was happening to me the night of using it as my head had swollen up, my head throbbed like someone beat me, I was dizzy and suffered in pain all night. When I woke up, my face, scalp, neck, ears etc were all red and I had soars in my my head. It had to be chemicals in this I thought so I went to the box and the 1st ingredient was ACID??? YOU ADVISED this was safe for ALL hair types but you should have included shin types! We are all NOT the same and anyone who can endure putting acid in there hair with NO Neutralizing shampoo, I have to question??? The damage and the losses I am still suffering from this product 3 days later... My entire head itches profusely, my face and scalp is swollen and red with bumps around my edges. I'm still weak, can't work or function and it's still burning. I need to go to the hospital to get a steroid shot to stop the chemical reaction and so my head can stop throbbing and swelling. Shame on you Amazon as when I reported this you claimed you would have it removed from your market all for me to come and read a review that states this has happened to someone else. I always taught my children that lies kill and destroy. And ain't nothing plant based about acid and shake on you and your greed to sell such a hazardous product WITH NO WARNING! I AM NOT THRU WITH YOU YET!!!

The reviews about it being very dark are definitely accurate. However you can temper it by not leaving it on for too long. It did a great job at gray coverage the first time I used it (2 hrs just to make sure I got all the grays!) but it was way too dark, nearly black. However it held the dye really well and even my pesky gray patches didn't lighten up until a month later. After my hair grew out a little and I needed to touch up, I left the dye on for more like 20 minutes and it was more of a lighter walnut/auburn brown rather than nearly black. While it's less intense after 20 min, the gray is starting to show through faster. I recommend playing around with it to find the right timing. I also noticed that certain parts of my hair hold this dye blend really strongly, with it getting quite dark compared to other parts- and both sections are not the ones with the gray, so not sure why that is because they have the dye on for the same amount of time. In the past I used traditional henna with lemon and had deep red/orange hair. It was interesting but after a while I couldn't keep up with the long prep/dye time. I do value the faster turnaround of this dye even though it has additives.

Reshma Henna is a wonderful product. It's easy to use, doesn't take a lot of time, isn't messy, and is affordable! A couple of years ago, agood friend gave me a box a to try. I loved it and have been a fan ever since. The only thing is that I can't get it in Canada (Amazon Canada doesn't carry it) so I have to get it from Amazon USA and pay the duty on it. I hope they get it in Canada soon!

Good coverage, easy to use, didn't damage my hair. I made sure to rehydrate with lots of conditioner and some hair oil. The dark brown was darker than I expected, but its a flattering color. I will definitely buy it again. I recommend adding a little water at a time. I covered everything with a muddy consistency so it wouldn't drip, and then added a little water once it was applied to massage it in over the tub. I wrapped a plastic bag tightly over it and let it set for 45 minutes. I will probably get 2 boxes next time because my hair is long and I felt like it was stretched thin. Since the initial wash, NONE has come out when I wash it, and my towels and clothes remain unstained. I take hot showers which usually makes color fade, but its been 4 days and it hasn't lost its luster, even washing every day.

The henna did cover my greys, but the color came out a bit uneven and the smell was pretty strong. It works, but the process is messy and the results weren’t as smooth as I hoped. Just an average product for me.
