Best filter in the market

These are great and keep your water clean at RV parks. Those parks you never know how good/clean the water is so these are a must. The price for the value is unbeatable! I've never had any sickness issues from water utilizing these. Easy to install and they have the added benefit of helping decrease the PSI into your RV which can be a problem if to high. I don't think that was the intent, but I've found its an added benefit along with a regulator.

Filters really good.

I have been using these filters since 1987. I use them both in a slid in Bigfoot camper and 30' 5th wheel. They work well and should be used with reliable sources. They are not intended to take pathogens out of the water. They are to take particulates and are a charcoal (for taste) type filter. There are a few things to keep in mind. Make sure to look at the water source that you are hooking up to, if you are not familiar with that source. If it is really dirty, it can clog your filter - don't use it. If it looks clear you should be ok. Make sure you flush your filter out each time you use it before you hook it up to your camper, This is most critical with the first use. You will get a good amount of the charcoal dust, make sure it clears up then attach to your camper. Again remember that even clear looking water can have pathogens in it and this filter will not take them out. This filter is to remove particulates and improve the taste. Replace this type of filter every 6 month with heavy use and at a minimum once a year. Do not let the filter freeze (with water or moisture in it), if it does replace it. If you do not you could end up with water that is not being filtered. Meaning that if you hare hooked up to a source with rust, you will be filling your tank and camper with rusty colored water... This seems to be the case when people have told me that the filters do not work. They will of you take care of them. If you do not change them out, let them get clogged, frozen or do not purge them out, you will have less than ideal results.

Great product

Long lasting product at a good price. I use this to filter my city water before I use on my garden plants. The stickers come off over the summer so pay attention to the flow arrows. Make sure you put them in during freezing temperatures because they will crack. The filter has lots of small black carbon pieces to filter tap water well. I usually remove the metal screen because it decreases water flow, but then it makes the carbon material spill out when it gets old - time to replace.

Water is filtered and cleaned up, tastes better. Easy installation.
