Simax Cylinder Pitcher 2L

This is a fabulous pitcher. I make tea every day for dinner time iced tea. I have been using if for two weeks daily. I pour boiling water in this pitcher every day and it has not cracked or broken like others. It is lightweight so that a full pitcher of liquids is not too heavy to handle.

Great pitcher, a lid/cover of any sort would be an improvement. I pour hot-brewed tea from my Hiware® 50 Oz Glass Drip-free Carafe into this and pop it into the fridge. Fits into the deep door bin but I keep mine on the milk/juice shelf (it is about as tall as the 2 quart major OJ brand). If you want one-hand pouring do not fill above the handle top.

I couldn't be happier with this pitcher. It is light weight, finally a glass pitcher than doesn't break your arm when filled with liquid. I wanted to get rid of the plastic and now I can. Another plus is it's design, in that it is straight up and down and takes less space in the refrigerator. I bought four of them and so far so good, no breakage. UPDATE: March, 2020. I have been using four of these pitchers for almost five years. Finally one broke because it was caught in the dishwasher and I yanked it. I had to order another one immediately.

Pour boiling water over tea-bags into this pitcher every day. It handles hot and cold and combinations. No cracks or chips yet.

Es una jarra Bonita de diseño pero muy sencilla. Siendo de vidrio no supergrueso tiene riesgo de rotura pero más gruesa pesaría más ocuparía más o cabría menos agua y no sería tan bonita. Las cosas delicadas me atraen. Y si le pones tapa tampoco sería tan práctica. A mi me encanta.

La caraffa è davvero eccellente: design minimale molto elegante; leggerezza estrema del vetro (che è sintomo di grande qualità e alto livello di manufattura, contrariamente a quanto dicono le persone che lamentano la troppa leggerezza attribuendola a bassa qualità) senza mancare di solidità adeguata nelle rifiniture e bordi; capienza introvabile: i 2 litri in una caraffa sono molto rari, specie in quelle "belle da vedere"; prezzo imbattibile considerati tutti i pregi sopra elencati. Ne ho comprata subito una seconda per me e ben altre 3 da regalare...sono piaciute moltissimo.

Ein sehr schöner Krug mit 2 Liter Fassungsvermögen. Der Krug ist Spülmaschinenfest und übersteht auch kochend heißes Wasser. Das Gefäß ist obwohl aus Glas sehr leicht. Sprich es handelt sich um ein sehr dünnwandiges Gefäß. Nicht zu vergleichen mit einem massiven Pitscher wie man es häufig aus Kneipen kennt. In Sachen Stabilität gab es bislang aber keine Probleme und das obwohl wir den Krug seit mehrere Jahren haben. Hinunterfallen lassen sollte man ihn wohl nicht, aber das nehme ich bei Glas gerne in Kauf anstatt mir ein Plastikgefäß hinzustellen. Klare Kaufempfehlung. Sieht auch gut aus auf dem Tisch.

Für unser gefiltertes Wasser suchten wir nun nach einem repräsentativen großen Krug. Er mußte ca. 2 Liter fassen, mußte handlich sein, durfte aber nicht zu schwer sein. Yipieh, wir haben ihn gefunden. Schlicht, einfach passt immer auf den Tisch. Gefüllt mit Kristallen sieht er auf dem gedeckten Tisch toll aus. Leider hat er nur 5 Monate überlebt (Spülunfall). Egal, wir bestellen ihn nun nochmal. Habe gesehen, den gibt es auch mit Deckel. Auf ein Neues. Klare Kaufempfehlung.
