A Timeless Classic!
such a charming and memorable story! The simple text and repetitive rhythm make it perfect for reading aloud, and the illustrations are full of character. My toddler loves the silly monkeys and the peddler’s frustration—it's always a favorite at storytime. A classic book every child should have on their shelf!

Caps, Caps for Sale
A very easy read and cute too. My six year old grandson can read this quite easily and it’s one of his favorite books. We giggle at the monkey’s antics and chittering at the peddler.

Be serious. This is one for all time. You really have to become the peddler. For 2 and up

LOVE IT
"You monkeys you, give me back my caps!!!!" This is what the frustrated cap-seller yells when he discovers that while he was napping under a tree, with all his caps on his head, monkeys have taken his caps, put them on, and climbed up the tree. I'm in my 50's, and I still remember this line. So does my teen daughter. And my mother. This is a wonderful book for young toddlers all the way through preschoolers, and even kindergartners. It's also good for early readers. It's a fun, simple book -- with lots of opportunities to interact with the young person you are reading to. We always imitated the cap-seller by shaking our fingers, and stomping our feet just like in the book. And it has a happy, NON-VIOLENT ending. Come to think about it, it's a lovely book to show what happens when a person gets frustrated, but resolves the problem happily. It brings a smile to my face just thinking about this playful book.

I don't suggest ordering this book. Multiple reviews mention misprints but I still gave it a chance. I was wildly disappointed when I opened my package and found only a sheet of cardstock paper with a very poorly printed picture of the cover of the book. I messaged the seller where they said they couldn't find my order number and to contact Amazon instead.

De esas historias que te piden que les cuentes una y otra vez, hasta el punto de que llegas a arrepentirte de haber comprado el libro...
