The game itself is brilliant! Young children and old can play, being its simple and fun. Excellent craftsmanship and quality of the wood as well. Many wonderful memories will be made playing this game!

This game has swiftly become the favorite of everyone with whom I’ve played. Takes less than a minute to learn, is appropriate and entertaining for 4-year-olds to ages 100+, and may be played with any number (2+) of people. Amazingly, it is not boring to watch others taking their turn, no matter how long their turn lasts — in fact, watching others play is really fun because it’s a game of chance and you learn a lot about other players’ personalities as they decide when to keep rolling the dice and when to stop taking chances and pass the dice on to the next player. And, of course, you are revealing that about yourself on your turns too. Now, a word about the craftsmanship: I bought the “deluxe” version of Penny Drop with the tightly secured sliding lid. It is carefully crafted and a thing of beauty. There are three different colors of wood that complement each other and all are well finished off and smooth. I have it on display, it is so pretty. And the 3-D wooden Lincoln head penny adhered to the top — what a cute touch! It did take me a bit to figure out how to open this game; the lid slides in one direction only and is snuggly fitting. I bought two rolls of pennies at my bank (.50 cents per roll of 50 pennies :) and keep them stored inside the game. The lid is so tight I never have to worry about the pennies falling out. And the dice (die?) — it’s one, it’s wooden, and it’s big; you aren’t going to lose it and it’s good for all sized hands. Every facet of this game is 5 star. I highly, highly recommend it.

We like this game is made in America and is such high quality. We have purchased three total, one for us and two for gifts. Simple to play, easy for children, doesn't take up much space and FUN! When we give it as a gift, we include a couple rolls of pennies. The pennies store inside along with the wooden die that comes with the game.
