SteelSeries Apex 7 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard – OLED Smart Display – USB Passthrough and Media Controls – Linear and Quiet – RGB Backlit (Red Switch) (Renewed)

Nothing to dislike about this renewed keyboard. Plays just like it was out of the box fresh from Steel Series. I have the mouse and headset, from Steel Series, for my son and he said the keyboard has the feel of brand new. Saved us a few bucks over the one on the Steel Series website. But I must say, buy the extended warranty if offered to be on the safe side. Still saves you $$$. He has been playing the keyboard solid since Christmas with no issues.

Ordered this refurbished keyboard, and it feels and works as if it was brand new! Love the feeling of the keys and the RGB customization!

Man oh man is the software and connection terrible. My keyboard required an update, and the update fails every time at this point all the keys work but the keyboard constantly flashes red which I am sure you understand makes it practically unusable... I have tried everything to fix it. I have probably uninstalled Steal series gg and reinstalled it more time than Linus lol. This has been for months; I bought a much cheaper keyboard that works great and has the same features but to humor myself I plug back in this keyboard and try to fix it again to no avail. I have had issues like this with every steel series device I have purchased when I originally made my switch from console gaming to PC. I have since systematically eliminated every one of the devices because of software and connection issues. Today is a great day as I have finally gotten replacements for all the steel series devices I have gotten and felt vindicated to write this review. My advice to all of you considering any steel series device it to avoid this company like the plague unless you want hours of frustration and an unnecessarily lighter wallet. There are many other less expensive brands that produce better products. If you want to take the risk and listen to the obviously paid for hype, good luck...

Llego el articulo hoy, pude notar que la letra Esc esta suelta, al tomarla note que estaba rota, estuve manipulando el rgb del teclado y veo que el led del Num lock no cambia de color. No trajo el manual y tampoco la caja original Sigo probandolo y cualquier cosa les sigo posteando

I did not come with a wrist wrest which is stated on the listing that i would include a magnetic wrist rest.

Works as intended.

Backlighting for the 7 key on the numpad doesn't work. Why even ship a product if it's defective and either a) you know it's defective, or b) you haven't bothered to fully test it before selling it.

Im not hacking, I just have a really good gaming keyboard.

Great keyboard, nice switches, beautiful RGB lighting options. BUT a major reason for choosing this keyboard over other red MX competitors was the OLED screen that was advertised in the amazon listing as being able to show what's playing on Spotify, among other dynamic display options. However, after confirming with the SteelSeries support, this functionality has been disabled. All the OLED can display is the SteelSeries logo or an uploaded gif. No functionality beyond that. Hopefully it is restored soon. Further update after 9 months of ownership: I have lowered my rating to one-star. The keyboard is now having the issue of two keys switches getting stuck in the pressed position (even though the keys rebound), and periodic electronic malfunction (the keyboard stops working completely until is is unplugged and plugged back in to the CPU, or CPU is rebooted). This keyboard was purchased refurbished from Amazon renewed, so I'm not sure if these an issues are with the keyboard itself or its subsequent refurbishment. In summary, this keyboard will need to be replaced soon after less than one year. I won't be considering another SteelSeries keyboard, nor will I consider another amazon renewed product.
