WORTH IT!!!!
These work amazingly. I kept getting a recurrence of fruit flies in the kitchen and the apple cider traps weren't eliminating them fast enough. I bleached the drains for a few days and started covering the drains with wet dish rags so they couldn't have access and purchased these sticky traps. The afternoon I received them I clipped a few of these to the bottoms of the cabinets and taped a few to some empty soda cans on the counter. In 3 days time, the sticky traps were peppered with fruit flies and now there's no evidence of fruit flies at all. Totally recommend using these in combination with some other methods but these have made an extraordinary difference in the ease it took to solve the problem.

I am so pleased with this item!
If you're reading a bunch of reviews while searching for yellow sticky cards, stop now and buy these. The number one complaint I saw on other products of the same type is that the paper was very difficult to remove from the sticky portion. On this product, however, the paper was incredibly easy to remove, even when I tore it in half while removing. Just bend the sticky card at the point that connects the shape to the part that goes into the soil, and you'll see a tab that's not stuck to the card. Easy peasy! I had no problem pushing them into the soil in my planters (the second biggest complaint I saw). Of course, if you try to push it into the center of your pot, you're likely to encounter the roots of your plant. I found it worked best to slide it along the edge of the pot when possible. The items were firm enough to make this an easy task. The biggest question: Do they work? These photos were taken only 30 minutes after I put them in my pots, so I'd say they definitely work. (Yes, I have a gnat problem.) While this isn't the only thing that will likely solve the my gnat problem, it's an important part. Catching these adult gnats will decrease the number of eggs that can be laid in the potting soil. I also soaked a mosquito dunk in water and am using that to water my plants. (Mosquito dunks are made from BTi (Bacillus Thuringiensis subspecies israelensis, which is organic and will kill the larvae in the soil.) Lastly, I'll be adding a 1/4" layer of sand to the top of my pots tomorrow, which is supposed to prevent the adults from accessing the potting soil to lay eggs. I'm confident that this 3 pronged approach, including this specific product, will solve my gnat problem over time. Besides being effective and easy to use, I appreciate that the sticky cards come in a nice box. While these are kind of gross to look at after awhile, if we're honest, I appreciate that the box holding the rest of my sticky cards will look just fine on an open shelf. It's just a nice touch. One last tip: It got dark shortly after I took this picture, and this room light was turned off while I was in the next room with a lamp on. A few gnats were attracted to the lamp I was sitting under, driving me nuts, and it didn't look like a whole lot more gnats were getting stuck on the cards in the hour that passed. I turned the light on in the room with my plants again, and they started getting stuck again and not bugging me by the lamp. I don't think it will be necessary to keep the light on all night. I just think that for a few days it might make sense to keep that room light on while I have a lamp on in the next room to avoid drawing the gnats away from my plants. After all, if they can't see the pretty yellow color, they won't be lured to the sticky surface. It's a small price to pay to get rid of the little buggers.

Updated: THEY WORK but be patient!!
UPDATED REVIEW: these traps do work!! You can see from my old review that in the first 9 days there was only one gnat stuck to one trap (out of 3 traps). However, just a few days after that, there were tons of gnats stuck to these traps! I have no clue what changed and why they all suddenly started working... but they did! There are still a few pesky gnats flying around but not nearly as many as there would have been. I even put 3 more up (two more in my room and one nearly the kitchen fruit bowl), and they have all caught some. I will add more pics of a couple of traps for comparison. Bottom line: I do recommend these. They worked for me for both plant gnat issues and fruit flies, but it took a full 2 weeks for me to see them work. This also seems to be the cheapest pack/best deal for gnat traps! By the way, the first trap I saw with the lots of gnats was attached to a cup with apple cider vinegar, so that may have helped. Old review: I don’t like to write negative reviews of products, but the company asks for your honest review, and honestly... these have not worked for me at all. I have had these in my room for over a week (9 days), and there are still gnats everywhere. I have put 3 in my bedroom (2 in different plants, 1 on a cup of apple cider vinegar near a plant), and one in hanging in my bathroom. I’m 95% sure that my gnats come from the various potted plants in my room, but ironically the only trap that has caught a gnat is the one hanging in my bathroom where I do not have any plants. In the pic you will see two gnats on one side, and one gnat on the other; the two trapped gnats were ones I caught by hand to test how sticky it was (it is very sticky on both sides). As I was taking pics for this review, noticed the other gnat on the other side- so these traps have caught 1 gnat in nine days. I will leave these traps up in hopes that maybe they will ... start working? I’m not sure why these do not work for me, but I doubt that other more expensive brands have products that are any better. This product is easy to use, and the adhesive is very sticky. I am giving it 2 stars because these traps (I put up 4) have only caught 1 gnat, but at least they have caught one! I will update if they catch any more.

Great for fruit flies
These are a great price for what you’re getting. It comes with the sticky patches that are sticky on BOTH sides , so it’s double of whatever amount you pick . The size is a good size not to big but not to small, I put a butter knife for size comparison. The color is bright yellow the shape is a cute butterfly. Obviously no noises are made like a bug zapper this is just a sticky trap made to kill bugs, now with that said this will on function properly for fruit flies NO other bugs any larger or stronger than fruit flies. So if you are looking for these to kill bugs this isn’t the thing for you BUT if you want something to kill fruit flies then I’d definitely recommend these! I feel they’d last a long time because the size and also you can use one side at a time . Now if you want these to work this isn’t in the description but I’ll give you my tip put it in a glass with apple cider vinegar and a couple pumps of dish soap . It will attract the fruit flies and kill them bugs ! Now the little nasty fruit flies that somehow don’t die from the apple vinegar an soap they get stuck flying in an out and around this sticky trap. Just remember these in my opinion won’t trap any other bugs I touched it an it’s not sticky enough that even my finger felt it was similar to touching a regular sticker you’d put on a paper. It came with these two cute little shovels that i didn’t know it’d have an I have no need for I’m assuming they are for plants to dig the hole to put these traps my two cute shovels didn’t go to waste have them to the kids to play with. I definitely recommend these with this price tag an what you get . Hope this review and pictures helped . I’ll be doing more reviews on everything I buy because I online shop mainly and it’s very difficult when the recipe are vague or leave no pictures so I hope this helped . ❤️

Highly recommend!
These work! I was seeing an occasional gnat in my office—enough to be annoying. So I started looking for solutions. I’ve used diatomaceous earth before but I don’t like the way the white piwder looks on my plants. These may not be killing/preventing eggs, but they are at least collecting the adults. They are easy to use—just stick them in a pot—and they are not unsightly.

Meh. Include more holders.
Not easy to use with cheap and inadequate number of holders, but the sticky paper does catch the pests.
