Bulky but the protection is hard to beat
With my last phone I didn't bother getting a case. Like a lot of people I'd never needed one and all my phones had survived until upgrade. Then, six months into owning it I dropped it on concrete and that's all she wrote for the screen. So I had to limp by until my next upgrade with a screen that was a wreck. When I got my Pixel 4 I had no intentions of risking that kind of thing again. Obviously I got this Otterbox Defender and I've been really impressed overall. It's turned my phone into a tank, I've dropped it once and it sounded like dropping a brick but the phone was fine. There's a raised rim that protects the screen but I'd still suggest getting one of the nice glass screen protectors just in case. My only real complaint is that I really have to squeeze the crap out of it to use the power/volume buttons. It's a small complaint so I didn't dock them any stars because it hasn't really impacted functionality. If you're the type who tucks their phone into front pockets, this case isn't going to work well for you. Larger pockets will work but the bulk of the case will thwart anything small. On the plus side, the Pixel 4 was really quite slippery and the Otterbox has a nice grip to it.

Cases don't last for me, but this one did the best
I am hard on my phone, so I require a tough case. I always buy cases that claim durability, but most of the time the case breaks within a few months, so I have to look for a better case. Or it doesn't actually protect my phone and I end up having to buy a new phone as well as a new case. 18 months ago, someone told me to try OtterBox cases. So, I found this case and was immediately impressed when I put it on my phone. You can feel the quality of the materials used. So, how did it do? Well, it took a year and a half for me to crack the hard case enough that I felt like it needed to be replaced, though the outer rubbery case is doing just fine. I bought a new case and swapped out the hard shells. In my opinion these cases are worth every penny. Now I will only buy OtterBox cases, specifically from the Defender product line, for my phones.

Protects screen and body
Shattered my last P4, which I used case-less for a year or so, so I replaced it for $120ish? This is a great deal on a case that actually protects the screen from damage. $10 and about double the thickness (which, admittedly, does make it noticeably harder to slip the phone in and out of pockets) keeps my phone safe from any physical damage I can think of. Small price to keep you from prematurely replacing a perfectly good phone. Case's quality is fantastic, the three part design sticks together well and seems to bear removal/replacement with no wear. Rubber feels good, the outer layer is grippy and durable.

Fits snug
Seems like a super sturdy case. I've been using for two months. So far so good. I don't use the belt clip my much, but that gives it an extra layer. I paired it with a screen covee

Very durable and has protected my husband's phone
We have purchased this phone case twice. The first one lasted for several years and has gone through consistent hard use. It is protected my husband's phone from falls, dust and dirt, splashes, and constant use. After 4 years the flap covering the charging port came loose at one end and the inner lining plastic cracked. It was still protecting his phone admirably, but we elected to replace it with a new one. I fully expect that this case will last another 4 years!

Fits perfect
It's simple. It fits good and it works. That's all I needed it to do. Thank you

Hands down: Better than anything else on the market for protecting your pixel 4.
Rock solid. fits pixel 4 precisely. Drop proof. Solid grip. Not too thick. Button manipulation is un-effected. Not expensive. Significantly improves water/dust resistance but don't go scuba diving with it. Screen remains vulnerable. Just get a screen protector and don't be careless. Some may not like the belt clip/kick stand. It can be removed but it's not designed to be so removing it is fairly permanent depending on your level of craftyness. I take this to field training, out doors, etc. When dropped, it's not even a thing I worry about with this case.

Don't buy this Ever!
Did not fit my phone - Google Pixel 4a. Too freaking hard to get on. Don't even try to take it off . I almost ruined my phone. First Otter Box I hated. No wonder it was on sale
