Comedy at its best!
Nunsense II continues to remain on the shipping list. However, Nunsense, in my opinion, was one of the best comedy films to ever hit the wide screen after being a hit on Broadway. I was a student that was taught by a religious order, as was my wife, and we cannot get enough of this movie to keep our religious spirits at a very high level of joy within our daily life. A lot of the incidents within this movie and the broadway play came back into our life since we were educated by the Felician Sisters of Enfield Ct. The writers of the play as well as the producer and director of the movie should have been given an Oscar for their efforts. I began laughing at the onset of putting the disc into the player even before the first words were spoken and have not stopped laughing since the first time I saw the movie and haven't stopped laughing since. Whenever my wife mentions our dearest school mate who eventually became a nun within the Felician Order, a smile comes to this person's face only to begin laughing all over again. You just cannot get enough of this movie. I have not seen Nunsense II as yet but I am sure it is just as good a movie as Nunsense turned out to be, if not better. I can't wait to get the movie so that the laughter in this house can continue to bring us back to our golden/olden days of our grade school up-bringing. To the sisters who brought us through those wonderful years from kindergarden through the 8th grade and then on through our high school days. my wife and I can only say "Thank you sisters for all you did to not only bring us together but to keep us together for the 50 years of marriage to be celebrated on June 22. May your dearly departed souls rest in peace and we pray to see you again on the other side.John and Judy Gorski

One great show. It is funny beyond belief and it brought back many memories of my childhood.
If you're like me, you grew up at a time when life was simple - the 'good old days.' Nuns were a big part of my life. I was educated by Franciscans and they were excellent. The Sisters made every effort to ensure that we received the best education. When I hear people talk about the Sisters in general in some negative way, I get nauseated. What sacrifices these women made. Nunsense, in a most humerous way portrays Sisters from a human standpoint. It is my favorite DVD and I watch it several times throughout the year especially when I need a hearty laugh - and who doesn't? Have no doubts, Nunsense is excellent. These women can sing, dance and perform. The "real nuns" in the audience as you will see, were hysterical and who would know better than they for they walk the walk everyday. Rue Mc Clanahan of Golden Girls fame does an great job as Mother Superior.

Gentle, silly fun
Loved watching this show on PBS back when I was kid. The silly story, great performances from wonderful actors, and general fun of the whole production holds up. A great show for just putting your brain in idle and letting the silliness flow over you.

Fabulous show
If you've seen it, you know. If you haven't, get yourself in front of a screen and watch.

Cute setup
I’d liken this to a spoof variety/ musical show consisting of 5 wacky nuns. Sister amnesia is obviously the show stealer, but they all have their moments. It was filmed in the late 80s and is not amazing quality. The whole performance is filmed on a stage likened to a high school auditorium. It has a silly plot but I’d say it’s well worth the watch. It took about 10 minutes for me to “get it” and then I found quite a few of the acts comical.

This show is fun, likeable
This show is fun, likeable, sweet and very very funny. I highly recommend it. The cast is good, the songs melodic, the story silly, and it's all performed with a heart of gold (without mean spirits). The quality of the production is lovely and the live audience really adds to the enjoyiment.

Funny good entertaining
I had heard about this and saw where the play was put on in Phoenix. I never saw it in person but I enjoyed the dvd. Now I want to see it in person but this will do until then.
