I do not take alcohol, so not sure. But dark is slightly sweeter and has more flavour, but will colour your drink. Mild is lighter and won't colour your drink. I use light for teas and dark for coffee and other drinks.

What’s the difference between agave syrup and agave nectar?

There is no difference. Nectar is a marketing word used instead of syrup.

What has happened to the flip lid? I'm have 6 in my cupboard all with fused lids on the hinge not flip lids as shown in picture. Is this an error.

Hi I found the same lately. I have now sussed that if you put the point of a knife along the plastic insert just below the flip top and push up it will flip out and the lid can then flip up. It seems to be a mechanism to prevent the lid to be opened prior to purchase. Really annoying until I worked it out
