Vash the Stampede is a wanted man with a habit of turning entire towns into rubble. The price on his head is a fortune, and his path of destruction reaches across the arid wastelands of a desert planet. Unfortunately, most encounters with the spiky-haired gunslinger don't end well for the bounty hunters who catch up with him; someone almost always gets hurt - and it's never Vash. Oddly enough, for such an infamous fugitive, there's no proof that he's ever taken a life. In fact, he's a pacifist with a doughnut obsession who's more doofus than desperado. There's a whole lot more to him than his reputation lets on - Vash the Stampede definitely ain't your typical outlaw. Review: A true anime classic! - Can't recommend this show enough! I watched Trigun when it was on Toonami, and it still holds up today. The dub is how I recommend watching it in, but it still has the Japanese version just in case. In my opinion, the dub is superior. It's not super accurate to the manga, but thats what we have the newer one is for, which is also incredible. If you are still unsure about it, let me tell you, Trigun is a western inspired anime that has the funniest hero in all of anime. In the beginning of the show, it's very monster of the week, but as the series continues, it unfolds a conspiracy that encompasses the entire world of Gunsmoke and beyond. The entire show has the theme of Nature vs Nurture. The characters are unforgettable. The main character is an absolute icon, and has so much depth, that by the end of the show, I was sad that it was over. Review: Trigun 😍 - Nice quality, Exactly as described, arrived a little late but worth, it works great 👍

An Excellent Anime
I'll admit that I'm biased about Trigun. Trigun is my favorite anime and it's a classic. Let me share, with you, why I love it. First off, Trigun has some really great characters. They all have different motivations, values, and backgrounds. Vash the Stampede is very much motivated by a strong sense of internal morality. Merry is driven by her sense of duty. Millie is a loyal and caring individual. These characters are developed really well and it's interesting to see how they react to different situations. The plot follows Vash the Stampede through his various trials and tribulations. It starts very light hearted, as the main plot isn't revealed too early on, but does get more serious and sad when you get further into the main plot line. It keeps it very interesting with some of the hardships that Vash faces. It has an interesting soundtrack. Most of the soundtrack is in a Western or jazz style. It definitely improves the feel of the show and provides great effect. Now, the animation definitely dates it. You can tell that it's an older one, but the art still looks good. If you're not a fan of older animation, you might take issue with this. Overall, I think it's a classic that improves any collection. You can definitely rewatch it and still enjoy it. The combination of great plot, awesome soundtrack, and intriguing characters culminated in a great anime experience. I'd definitely recommend it.

My Favorite Anime
Trigun has and probably always will be my favorite anime of all time. It's hard to describe why, but I suppose I'm about to try. Trigun is the story of Vash The Stampede. He's an outlaw on the planet Gunsmoke that has a ridiculously huge bounty on his head for tending to wreck any town he ends up in, yet has killed no-one, so he's always being hunted. He's a lovable character with a very interesting back-story that you will never figure out until you've watched it near to completion. People criticize this show for Vash, though. Considering he acts like "Jesus with a revolver" with his pacifist ways. He does have his reasons, though. It's not as if he doesn't struggle in the show with his ideals, either. It's a very comical show, but becomes quite dark as you get farther into it. It has huge amount of action, a few heart-wrenching and heart-warming moments, a tinge of romance, a dash of revenge, and a lot of thought-provoking moments. It makes you question how important your own ideals are to you and makes you consider just what it means to kill someone. The action is very well paced and if you're into guns like I am, you're going to find a really good time in this show. The guns and weapons are just as unique as all of the characters, and that's saying a lot. This show has some of the best action scenes to me, including the very best final fight I've ever witnessed in a show. You'll be on the edge of your seat wondering what will happen next and just how much more insane it could possibly get. The characters are extremely unique, especially the villains. Some of the villains are downright terrifying like the infamous Legato Bluesummers. What I adored about this show was it's ability to make you love every character in it or at least appreciate their own unique personalities, weapons, and style. They're all really well done and their voice actors are generally very fitting. The art-style really makes you feel like you're watching the characters exploring a barren world, which Gunsmoke isn't the most habitable place in the story, and ending up in old western-like towns. I think it's very fitting. I love the dusty nature of it, personally. The designs of all of the characters, places, weapons, and scenery is very detailed as well. The comedy mostly comes from Vash being Vash. He tends to act like a bumbling idiot, but it's mostly a front. He's relatable to people who have a hard time opening up to others in a way. Truly opening up. Hides his true emotions and thoughts by being a joker. It can be a little over the top, but it's generally very funny if you're into that style of comedy. The music is very well done. From the western themed songs in the cities to the blaring metal guitar riffs in the intros, they're all really good. Fitting too. Makes you remember that this show is an action show. The songs tend to be reused often, but considering that they are good, I doubt many will have any complaints of that. I didn't. It just made me happy to hear it again whenever they did reuse one. The story, or stories I should say, can be very intriguing. Each episode tends to feel like a completely new story to be told. Vash isn't always the centerpiece, but that's not a bad thing. It helps to put across what the other people in this barren world are like and how they are surviving. I love how they did this, but what I love even more is something that I've never found in any other show; It's "next episode" preview. It tends to end each episode with Vash giving a philosophical talk that goes in conjunction with the upcoming episode. I love those talks. They make you think and tend to speak truth. It's quite unique. I honestly couldn't recommend this show enough for anyone that loves anime and wants to see an amazing classic. It's dark tone at times might be a bit much for really young audiences, but it's otherwise PG-13 or teen. It's nothing too bad, really. If you haven't already; Pick it up and see if you find it as awesome as I always have.

Since 2021, I feel this ok to mention the other important plot points. I never seen mentioned in other reviews. So If like sci fi, adventure, mystery, Then will like this anime/story as it does include unknown beings beside humans, as part of this story included in the main plot.(As will have to watch anime to find out more) As i feel this anime is overlooked because people just see it as normal western cowboy anime, when it's completely not all that, and there is much more to the story and the characters... So if you are interested in this kind of thing with sci fi/space etc/mystery beings with story lore beside westeren cowboy setting, you will like this! As there is story with plot. The story takes place, on planet gunsmoke, which is explained later in the story, on how the people/survivors from earth ended up on this planet. As note 3 moons and two suns you will see in the background in starting early episode gives a clue/hinting earth people are not on earth. etc As the story progress we learn vash tragic past. Also note he acts like goof ball/silly but that is his fake facecade and he really smart, so by watching the anime, you will find out one more reasons why he is like this. Also to note, I like how anime slowly sets up story/mystery/characters developments between each characters, as each episode progress. Though i do wish it did not end so soon, and there was more! check out the new movie to, release 2010 if do decide to to get into trigun anime! Highly recommended this anime.
