Sturdy Enough to Leave Mounted for Days
This tablet holder is extremely sturdy and secure. It attaches easily to a pole and holds the iPad firmly without slipping or sagging, even with regular use. It also has multiple adjustment points, so it’s easy to angle and position the screen exactly where you want it. We use it often enough that I’ve literally left the iPad mounted in it for days at a time, and it hasn’t loosened or moved at all. It’s great for hands-free use and kids’ shows, and I feel comfortable knowing the tablet isn’t going anywhere.

I may like this better than my $100+ K&M mount.
Very simple design, no springs, can mount directly on pole or clamped to pole with included mount. Mounting using corners as instructed in manual is very secure, mounting on top and bottom works, but is not as secure, although could help if someone has a bit of symmetry OCD. Price can't be beat either. This may become my primary rather than just a backup mount.

Used in music practice and performance.
Works perfectly for my Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10". But, it can fit much larger tablets as well. I use this item at my church for music practice and performance. It can be attached to just about any post such as a mic stand, music stand, or like I use it, attached to a symbol stand as I stand right next to the drums. Once attached, it does seem fairly sturdy and can be turned for either portrait or landscape or in between. It is easy to place and remove my tablet with a simple turn of the knob.

U Do Online Courses?
Bought this for performing, but seems like it going to function very well to participate in online courses and have sheet music, backing tracks and notes all right in front of me. Cool! It seems to be be very sturdy, very adjustable and holds my devices well. I have an 8th generation iPad and iPhone 15. I was careful to have one music stand leg projecting forward under the iPad for as much support as possible. Does not seem to be tippy at all, but the music stand is a heavy duty one. Not sure how a very lightweight or flimsy stand would do. This should work well on mic stands too. The holder does not extend excessively far away from the music stand, which enhances stability. Very pleased with this addition to my gig gear!

Solidly made, slightly less flexible if you have a phone grip on your tablet.
Very solidly made. The design allows you to screw the holder directly onto the threaded end of a standard mic stand. The included attachment screws into this same threaded socket and then allows you to securely clamp the setup onto any pipe-like/pole-like thing up to roughly 2 1/4" diameter, or even square cross-section tubing/rod up to roughly 1 3/4" square. Note that the design assumes there is nothing, or only a thin (1/4" or so max) something, on the center-back of the tablet - such as a phone grip; thicker than this and, IF you try to hold it diagonally, the disks which hold the tablet are liable to bend the tablet around said grip or not allow one corner/edge of the tablet to engage the disks at all. However, holding the tablet by the sides slightly below center works great - and the phone grip rests on the main bar & prevents it sliding down.

Works great for what it is
I ordered this to attach to my 5/8" microphone arm on my desk (in place of the mic) and on a 5/8" microphone stand so I can use my tablet for reading guitar tabs. This mount works great. It's stable and had all the adjustment I need. My only problem with it is that it's a little small. I want to put my OnePlus Pad 2 in diagonally, but it's just barely too large to fit this holder. Fortunately, it fits fine in portrait or landscape and it seems to hold it in place with the friction fit, so I'm not too upset about it. But its unfortunate they don't offer multiple sizes for more standard-sized > 10" tablets. For the price, I can't complain.

Kind of works - but the pieces that hold the tablet are poorly designed - you need the right tablet
This holds securely to vertical pipes. There are multiple adjustment points, allowing you to pivot and tilt a tablet to whatever angle and position you want, then tighten it to stay put. However, the piece that holds the tablet is supposed to be used only diagonally, on opposite corners, to prevent your tablet from sliding out. There are a couple of issues with this design. Some tablets have their buttons all on one side of the device, near the corners. If you don’t want your device to slide right out of this, then it is going to be pressing or covering either the power button or the volume. Either way, your device isn’t functional. Large tablets which may seem within the size range of this holder won’t fit, because the holder can only be used diagonally, and this holder doesn’t open far enough to clear the corner of a large tablet so you can get it into the holder. If the plastic disc pieces were removable, even just one of them, you could do it. Yet another issue is that the design does not allow for much variation in device thickness. If you have any kind of case, and you should, you’ll have to remove it. This leaves your device exposed to damage while in this holder. So, if something comes loose and it falls, too bad for you.Not to mention that some cases are, by design, not the easiest to remove (a case that accidentally comes off the device can’t protect it). Again, making the plastic disks that hold the device removable could also allow a millimeter or two of adjustment in thickness, allowing you to keep the case on your device. You need to have a small or medium, thin tablet, with the right layout of buttons, without a cover/case, in order for this to be useful.

I have used other devices but recently decided to move to a 10" Tablet as the program I use to use for scrolling and music is no longer supported. Most songs fit on a 10" or with only a simple scroll apk for horizontal or vertical use. This product works flawlessly. You have to insure that you have it in the grips and tightened properly but it doesn't come out if done correctly. It doesn't impede the buttons on the tablet and is extremely versatile for positioning. The clamp to the post looked flimsy in the pictures but that is no concern as it is very sturdy and has not moved. I use mine as shown in pictures on the back of my guitar stand. I would recommend for the $30 cnd

I absolutely love the Amazon Basics Adjustable Tablet/iPad Mount Holder - for Microphone Stand and Music Stand! As an active member of a music group, this device has become an indispensable part of my setup, enhancing my playing experience significantly. The design is simple yet incredibly effective. It securely attaches to both microphone stands and music stands, offering great versatility depending on my needs. The adjustment mechanisms are smooth and stable, allowing me to position my tablet or iPad at the perfect viewing angle. Once tightened, it holds my device firmly in place, even during energetic performances – there's no wobbling or slipping, which is crucial when I'm focused on the music. What truly makes this mount a game-changer for musicians is its ability to keep sheet music, lyrics, or chord charts readily accessible and perfectly illuminated. No more fumbling with paper, or straining to see my device on a cluttered stand. It elevates my tablet to eye level, making it easy to read and interact with my music apps. This hands-free convenience is invaluable, allowing me to concentrate fully on playing with my group. The build quality feels robust for an "Amazon Basics" product; it's durable plastic and metal components that seem built to last through regular transport and use. It’s also relatively lightweight and folds down compactly, making it easy to pack with the rest of my gear. If you're a musician who uses a tablet for scores, lyrics, or as part of your performance setup, I cannot recommend the Amazon Basics Adjustable Tablet/iPad Mount Holder enough. It's affordable, reliable, and genuinely transforms the way I interact with my music during practice and performances. It’s a definite five-star product for any gigging musician!

Now have 3. Really like these. Robust (metal screw parts/clamp etc) easy to adjust. One thing that would improve it would be if the part that holds the iPad you could easily remove the “neck” bit to fit more easily in a guitar gig bag - minor suggestion only.
