Back-UPS Pro BR900MI

This product was bought is an upgrade to an existing CS350 as I needed more power to keep the NAS box, Ethernet switch and broadband router all alive during power cuts. An added benefit is surge protection as a recent storm took out my old router and phones as they were not on a protected supply. This model has a visual representation of power so is more useful. The USB port is useful in that the NAS can enter a managed shut down when there is less than 10% battery power remaining. Let down by Amazon delivery who 'claimed' handed to resident despite my being out and not following the safe place to deliver the item instruction and just left the box in the drizzle. Impressed with the APC UPS, but far less so with the delivery on this occasion.

The new APC software is an important improvement, still free btw. This system did come with the odd RJ50/USB-A serial cable, though it is a bit short. No mains power cable which seems an odd omission but can't have everything. The battery self tests can be a little disconcerting as the available power figure jumps about while this is happening. A strong recommend from me.

BR900MI - UPS 900VA In a recent power outage, the APC kicked in seamlessly to continue to power our adsl modem and wifi network (i.e., two boxes). It provided around 4.5 hours of backup, enabling the entire household to stay working/studying with internet access. Only niggles: - The meter on the box "promised" a bit over 6 hours of backup, so actual performance was around 70/75% of forecast - Once the power came back on, it took nearly 48 hours for the battery to recharge fully

Discretely sits under my desk and provides battery backup for all my NAS & PC devices. Smaller than I thought and replace an APC breeze block type which had lasted for 5 years. Display keeps you informed of any power fluctuations.

This replaced an old APC that gave up after working flawlessly for over 5 years. Happy with the product. Plug and play, literally, gives sufficient time to keep essential devices (Internet router and modem and some home automation devices) up and running for about 45 min which is sufficient.

The item was as described and arrived on time, but the packaging and handling of the ppackage in transit resulted in significant damage to the packaging, although clever design of the actual product box inside was such that no damage occurred to the unit itself. The unit contains a battery which is heavy and as a result the outer packaging needs to be more resilient to be sure of arriving safely.

I'd bought another UPS and was told by tech support I needed a PRO model for true UPS. On simple test with a lamp, it flickered when it switched to battey backup so not impressed and my yet return. Some people complain about smell when discussing UPSes. This one had no smell in normal use. I've not really run it on battery for more that a couple of minutes. It seems nice and quiet and the USB link to my firewall is detected fine.

Two main issues. 1. I got it set up with a 5% load to test it before connecting to my NAS devices. Initially it said the battery was 100% charged but that clearly wasn't correct. I dropped the input power and the "time remaining" very rapidly dropped from 200 minutes to 55 and then dropped slowly. After an overnight charge it still didn't seem that the battery was fully charged because removing the input power again started with "time remaining" of 584 minutes and that dropped to 90 minutes very quickly. So it still wasn't fully charged. 2. I tested it close to empty and when the display showed 2 minutes left I reconnected the input power - but after a few seconds the UPS dropped the load. Not what you would want to happen - you have just got power back within time but the UPS removes the "un" and becomes "interuptable".

Ya conocía el producto, y lo cambie porque el anterior al cabo de 8 años dejó de funcionar. Me ha sorprendido su tamaño, que es más pequeño que el anterior. Cumple su función de darme un margen de 30 minutos, para todos los trastos que tengo conectados. Este tiempo es variable según lo que se conecta, pero sin nada conectado y sólo dejando el router, tiene una autonomía de unas dos horas más o menos

Fait parfaitement ce pourquoi je l'ai acheté, à savoir prévenir toute coupure de courant inopinée pour mon matériel informatique et de sécurité, 24h/24 et 7j/7. Temps de réaction super court, les appareils ne "voient" rien. Cet UPS est vraiment sensible, je suis étonné du nombre de micro coupures de l'alimentation générale.

Und nach Inbetriebnahme dauerte es nur ein paar Wochen, bis wir den ersten Stromausfall hatten - Sie hat perfekt reagiert: PC und Bildschirm liefen weiter, als wäre nichts geschehen. Wir konnten sogar so lange weiterarbeiten, bis der Strom wieder da war. Fazit: Unsere absolute Empfehlung für diesen Preis.
