desertcart.com : Raleigh Cadent 2 Urban Fitness Bike : Sports & Outdoors Review: I have to say this bike is great. It performs and handles just as you would ... - I just bought this bike a week ago with intent of using it to get my daughter interested in riding (2017 model year). She just got a new Trek FX, but all I had was mountain bikes and didn't want to use them for casual riding on tarmac, prematurely wearing out my tires. In an attempt to offset the $$$ I spent on this bike, I convinced myself that I am going to ride to work daily, saving some gas. As of right now, with about 40 miles on the bike, I have to say this bike is great. It performs and handles just as you would expect for a bike in this price range. If you're in the market for a hybrid or fitness bike - this is likely one to seriously consider. Overall, I just have two pieces of advise: 1. If you're not accustom to working on bikes, take it to your local bike shop for assembly. As some have said, assembly may be difficult for you. You local shop will ensure that everything is perfect. If the wheels are not quite true (this is not uncommon as they get stressed during shipping), they will make the needed adjustments to get them perfect. In addition to that, if you have a local shop that deals in Rahleigh, assembly will likely be free if you purchase the bike from them. 2. Very occasionally, you will find that Diamondback & Raleigh bikes are on sale for deep discounts on desertcart. Often, during these sales, you can get some amazing deals. If you're not in a huge hurry and can wait a few months, it may be worth it to sit back and watch the prices.
