I bought the TP-Link LS1005G 5-Port Gigabit Switch to expand the number of Ethernet ports in my home network, and it’s been working flawlessly. Setup couldn’t be easier, just plug it in and it works instantly. No configuration, no software, and no hassle. All five ports deliver full gigabit speeds. It handles multiple devices without any slowdowns. The unit is compact, lightweight, and silent since it’s fanless, making it perfect for a desk or entertainment center. This TP-Link LS1005G switch is a brilliant little hub for the price. I’ve had zero speed loss when using it - everything runs smoothly, whether it’s for streaming, gaming, or general network traffic. Plug and play setup was effortless, and it’s been rock-solid since. The compact design works well for desktop or wall mounting, and the plastic case feels sturdy enough for everyday use. These are great little switches. TP-Link's build quality has always been excellent for me, and it's also reliable. I have two of these in use and actually came here today to buy a third, but then I noticed I hadn't left a review yet. If you are looking for the "set it and forget about it" solution, look no further - this is all you need. My connections over the Ethernet have been stable with no problems in capability. There isn't much to say about its appearance; you wouldn't keep something like this on display. However, for what it is, it looks the part.

Runs amazingly, looks good and has incredible signal strength. The setup was just plugging in the device and plugging in the inbound ethernet cable and the outbound cable, the box isnt too bright to be noticeable but reflects light due to its design. 4 stars because of the lack of a normal power option (USB C), it requires a barrel jack to setup.

This switch is compact and really easy to use - just plug it in and you’re ready to go. My devices connected via Ethernet with no hassle and everything works exactly as expected. A simple, reliable device for a great price.

Superb, small form factor network switches. What do these actually do you might ask. They simply allow you to take an ethernet cable (aka CAT5, CAT5e, CAT6 and now CAT7) from the back of your home network router (your BT Superhub/Smarthub or Virgin Superhub), and plug it into any of the 5 ports on this thing. You then have four ports free to connect ethernet cables from to you other devices. I'm lucky in that our new house had preinstalled network sockets around the house, but the BT SmartHub didn't work very well in the cupboard under the stairs, so I moved it into the living room. Greath signal now, but I needed a way to "power" the other network plugs around the house. Enter these little beauties. I plugged an ethernet cable from my BT Smarthub into the nearest network wall socket. I then went to to cupboard under the stairs (where the other ends of all the house network sockets terminate). I found which socket had the incoming signal from the router (i.e. the corresponding socket termination, that was connected through the walls, into the BT Smarthub), and plugged an ethernet cable into this "switch". I then took the remaining four slots, and connected ethernet cables from them, into the other network sockets in the cupboard, and boom, high speed internet available where ever there is a socket in my house. Before this method, I had a BT Complete WiFi disc, which was wirelessly connected upstairs, down to the hub in the living room. The connection status was "Good". After using this network switch, and plugging in an ethernet cable into the disc upstairs, it's gone to "Excellent" connection. No, these switches won't improve your WiFi, instead they give you the option of a wired internet connection. Great price, great form factor, and a superb data throughput. Plastic casing, isn't unattractive, but does the job. Would buy again.

Has been very reliable to connect multiple game consoles and my PC to the network. It has been running for a few months now and I have had no problems. It was easy to mount using the mounts on the back of the switch, and it's small enough to easily hide.

Absolutely delighted with these, I can honestly say TP-LINK have never let me down with just about everything they make, and this is no exception, and utterly great value too at the time. I am in a building where the main router feeds that many items (using ethernet cables), and there is no space left for any more connections, so both of these from TP-LINK will do the job perfect, by allowing more ethernet sockets (near the router in question), and then, even more ethernet sockets when an extension has been run from the first TP-Link adapter. These were so easy to set up, and again thank you for a quality product.

Der Switch funktioniert tadellos, allerdings hat er zu meiner Enttäuschung leider einen UK Stecker, der in Deutschland in keine Steckdose passt. Zum Glück hatte ich zufällig noch ein anderes passendes Netzteil im Haus. Fazit: Wenn ihr den Switch kaufen wollt, kauft euch noch einen Adapter UK zu EU-Stecker.
