I don't know about long-term stability, but this works great as a quick fix for that jewelry item that is starting to show brass. Very easy to use.

I purchased this to give it a try despite the poor reviews. I should have listened to the reviews. This stuff absolutely doesn't work. The manufacturer claims it works o copper, and maybe it does if you want to silver coat some of your pennies, but in all practically, it is not useful for much else. I have tried this on several different pieces with no success. I have a silver plated serving tray that is silver on copper. Some of the silver is worn off from years of polishing, showing the pinkish copper below. When applying this product, it did nothing to cover the copper. Very dissatisfied with this product and certainly would not purchase again. Save your money as this stuff is somewhat expensive. It doesn't work.

Works , wear gloves , use once opened ,it losses it's strength if it gets old , old only takes 3-4 months . Do all your plating at the same time . It's amazing and remember to practice,it does what it says. Follow directions to the T ,I do jewelry .I also clear coat ,it does well .

I stripped the polish from my silver jewelry a few days ago in attempting to clean them after my mother had given me the two bracelets and ring. In looking at how to restore them, I came across this plating solution. While it does seem somewhat expensive, it's certainly less so than replacing these pieces (the James Avery necklace alone goes for $185), and also less expensive than buying the equipment to electroplate. I didn't even consider taking these to a jeweler because I knew that would cost nearly as much as getting the equipment and materials to do it myself.I went somewhat heavy on the solution based on reviews saying it didn't last. I also plan to allow these time to sit out before wearing them in hopes that helps with longevity.I'm fairly pleased with my purchase, but I'll come back here and update if the product does seem like it has weak adhesion. I don't wear silver as much as gold, so I think that will also help allow the product time to cure (since it is starting wet, after all).

So this plating does work. It just makes your silver that dull original silver. It not bright like fine 999 silver.

I had a silver bracelet that was turning brassy around the ends. Used this product according to directions and it worked! Haven't any clue how long it will last but easily repeated if necessary. So happy and glad this was available.1/28/25- I have discovered while this works immediately it does not last more than one wearing. Repeating each time I want to use my bracelet (I did discover my bracelet is silver-plated). A sterling silver bracelet only requires a polishing cloth to keep it shiny however.

Product does not work. Save your money. I tried to replace this champagne bucket and it did not work at all.
