Pelican 1010 Micro Case (Red/Clear)

I love these little rugged cases for traveling! Especially when it comes to accessing various items when flying. Even though these cases are compact, they still hold quite a bit more stuff than you would think they were capable of holding! They are SUPER sturdy and provide far more protection than a conventional zipper bag or packing cube. I am using this Red one to store my complete Airliner Audio Kit which includes all of the following components stored in this single case... 1) Apple AirPods Pro 2 w/case 2) AirPod Ear Piece Kit 3) SafeFly Dual Bluetooth Transmitter - For connecting my AirPods to the Aircraft's Entertainment System 4) Aircraft Specific Dual Plug Stereo Adapter for plugging the SafeFly into Aircraft's Headphone Jack x 2 5) Renmou Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Pad with USB-C for connecting to Anker Power Bank 6) Microfiber Cleaning Cloth (Used as padding to keep everything packed tight in case and as a cleaning cloth) 7) Standard Memory Foam Ear Plugs It's great when you arrive at your seat on the plane and break out this case. In this specific example I can quickly assemble my Bluetooth audio system and integrate it into the aircraft's entertainment system in less than 3 minutes start to finish. Having every single piece of this kit contained in this one compact case allows me to have my entire audio interface up and running before we even push back from the gate, which is always a pleasure! If you are looking for an alternative to the conventional soft zipper pouches for carrying stuff like what I have listed above, I would strongly recommend giving one of these a try! I am sure you will become a fan just like me! I currently own (3) of these and am considering picking up a 4th for my next big trip to Europe. I am always finding new uses for these cases each time I start packing for my next cruise and/or flying trip.

I’m a cave explorer, like the kind that are so tight you have to take your helmet off (and sometimes more) just to fit through a passage. I trust this Pelican case to protect my 18650 headlamp batteries. My headlamp is my lifeline underground so protecting the batteries makes sense. This box does just that. Pelican cases are the most durable, waterproof, lightweight, easy to use, and space- efficient boxes you can find. The 1010 is a small box, see photos, but Pelican has a range of box sizes. I’ve got multiple. These boxes do not lock but in my 15 years of using them I have never had the latch open up accidentally in my cave pack. I also use it for water sports! Great for a day out on the kayak!

1010 case seems very durable and feels of high quality. Has no problems fitting a set of large IEMs w/thick cable along with a USB-C headphone adapter and spare tips.

The Pelican 1010 Micro Case delivers exactly what you'd expect from Pelican - bombproof protection in a compact package. While small enough to comfortably fit in a pocket or pack, it has the same robust construction as its larger siblings. The rubber O-ring creates a reliable watertight seal. The clear lid is particularly useful for quickly identifying contents without opening the case. The interior dimensions are perfect for small electronics, memory cards, or emergency supplies. The blue base provides good contrast against small items, making them easier to spot. The internal rubber can be easily swapped out if needed, though many users might prefer to run it empty for maximum space. After months of being tossed in bags, dropped on concrete, and exposed to rain, there's barely a scratch on it. The latch remains tight, and the O-ring continues to maintain its seal. It's slightly heavier than cheaper plastic cases, but that's the trade-off for genuine crush resistance. One tip: keep the O-ring clean and occasionally apply a tiny bit of silicone grease to maintain optimal water resistance. This little case might seem expensive for its size, but considering it's basically indestructible and genuinely waterproof (not just "water resistant"), it's worth every penny for protecting valuable small items.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Works perfectly for a pair of IEMs and DAC with a little room to spare. Much higher quality than any hard IEM cases out there.

Using this to store my 21700 batteries. 10/10. Not much I can really say other than it's really good for storing things and definitely seems like it'll handle a lot. I like that I can see into it too. The valve is a nice addition.

This is my first go around with a small Pelican case (I have the 1510 carry on and it works like a charm!). Reason for buying: I bought this to protect the numerous thumb drives that I have acquired over the years. I wanted something that would not only keep them in one place, but be able to stand up to the elements and getting knocked around in a bag during travel. I also purchased the pick n' pluck foam insert to keep things from jingling around inside the case Pros: Durable - The 1010 case has a solid construction and the rubber bottom inside also forms the seal around the entire lip of the case). Haven't put it through the elements yet, but I have confidence it would do just fine. Versatile - You can easily pull the foam insert out and fit loose items such as money, credit cards, a pocket knife, medicine, etc to have your essential items in an easy on-the-go case. Cons: Size - it is a bit too big for just being a thumb drive case, however I plan on using it for multiple items when traveling (I knew this when I bought it). If you're looking to store flash memory, then you might opt for a slimmer Pelican case. Carabiner ring - the carabiner that the case comes with is a bit cheap feeling but it's not a deal breaker by any means. The opening however is too small and only fits small sized carabiners. Pelican would be better off having an opening that can fit a regular size carabiner; it would make it that much more useful to clip onto backpacks or a belt loop. * Note, this case will not fit an iPhone 4/4s... I tried mine just for kicks and it is just a hair too big for the case. Then again, I believe Pelican makes a case specifically for smart phones if that's what you're looking for.
