Great monitor, checks all the boxes, initial backlight bleed has almost completely gone away.
First, the bad (but not actually bad, since it got way better). When I received the monitor, it had lots of backlight bleed (hereafter referred to as BLB), and it was distracting in games. However, most of the BLB went away within a couple of weeks of regular use, and the remaining amount is well within acceptable limits (i.e. I don't notice it in games or other normal use). It's not bad even in the worst case scenario (BLB test page: black screen with very high brightness). Now that the BLB is down to low/normal levels, I'm very happy with this monitor. It checks all the boxes I wanted checked: 4k, HDR, 120Hz, G-Sync compatible. Colors are rich and vibrant. The brightness goes way brighter than I need it to. Contrast is great, especially in HDR mode. (I've heard that HDR400 monitors aren't as good at this as higher spec'd HDR monitors such as HDR600 or HDR1000, but this looks great to me.) The only niggling concern I have left is probably a windows issue or graphics card driver issue, and that is that the colors look washed out when the computer wakes up from sleep. However, it's not really much of a concern, since I can get the colors to look right again by toggling HDR off and on again in the Windows control panel.

Amazing monitor for the price
I was fortunate enough to get a rtx 3070 in March at a reasonable price. Last month, I decided to do research for a 4k monitor. After doing all of my research, I decided to purchase this one. Everything about this monitor is amazing. The specs are just right and in combination with my graphics card, helps deliver a stunning gaming experience. For reference, I am now running a Ryzen 9 5900x with a rtx 3070 graphics card and 32gig ram on a x570 master motherboard. I don't need a full 144mhz and with setting the best response time and gsync, I have no issues at all. I am still learning how to apply hdr settings properly, but I can tell a difference. And even without installing the flaps on the monitor, I am impressed. So far, this monitor handles Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Doom Eternal and World of Warcraft without any issues. I did have some screen issues with 4k on Rage 2, but I may have done something wrong with graphics settings. The menu is easy to work with and I didn't expect the led lights at the bottom of the monitor for added extra lighting. I am slightly disappointed with the color options but oh well. If you are looking for a good quality 4k monitor and still want the capability of gaming at 2k with high end specs, do not hesitate to spend the money on this monitor. You won't regret it.

Worst Monitor
This monitor is a disaster. It has a great screen that looks amazing, low lag, good response times, great colors... But, it does not work as advertised. It is supposed to work in 144Hz mode with two DP cables. It does work, but the monitor won't wake up from sleep and recently it won't wake up after being manually turned off either. Also, the OSD settings are extremely buggy and frustrating. If you select 144Hz mode, the overdrive settings should unlock, but this doesn't always happen. You have to switch back and forth until it finally unlocks. Overall, this has been the most frustrating monitor to use. Yes, it looks great if you can get it to work correctly, but you can't.

Big bright beautiful picture at high framerates and a reasonable cost
Just like the headline says - this display looks amazing. I have it hooked up to an Aurora R13 with an RTX 3080 and the graphics in every game I play (including Elite: Dangerous in VR) run at 119fps with no trouble. I haven't started playing Control yet, but I have no reason to believe it will be anything but perfect. theHunter: Call of the Wild looks AMAZING! Individual pine needles are clearly visible - shadows look real. Water looks REAL. It is an excellent gaming display for such a low price. Best bang for the buck out there!

A great "budget high end" monitor few quirks and misleading marketing points away from perfect
ill start with the many things this monitor nails: stunning color accuracy and HDR for gaming. not the highest spec you usually see on creative panels, but still very sharp 4k and high refresh under 1000! the monitor hood is far more useful than i thought. cuts out glare and peripheral reflections speaking of glare, the IPS panel handles it very well, only really being bothered mildly by direct and strong light the stand has all the swivel and tilt options you could want robust feature set cons you have to choose ONE of the following three specs: 144hz with two DP cables (refresh rate is 120hz without this, which is fine for me), VRB low latency, or G Sync. marketing lists them all but doesnt make it too clear you need to choose one. i had a bit of a time tweaking settings around to get it right, but i ended up settling on g sync as i prioritize the smoothest and most consistent experience. a competetive gamer may end up choosing the extra 24fps or reduced latency, but i mostly play RPG's. overall, this isnt the hugest deal at this price point, but a little more clarity in the marketing would go a long way. this is the main reason i had to take a star off an otherwise perfect monitor. still extremely happy with my purchase, but misleading marketing, intentional or not, helps nobody. less of a con and more of a heads up, the panel had pretty atrocious IPS glow when i got it, with each corner really bleeding a lot of light when the screen was dark or black. i decided not to return because of the hassle and hoped it would either adjust or become more tolerable. i can say with certainty that after about 2 weeks that started fading and is now barely visible. i think this has something to do with breaking in certain IPS panels. so if you see this on your screen, take heart that it will most likely burn out pretty quickly last, i really like the functions of the stand, but the very long and angular metal arms are terror on desk space. i far prefer that flat mount asus uses on many of their monitors, as it gets the same result for much less desk real estate. the stand works very well and is stable as can be, so i cant get too upset about it, but its just another small detail that holds me back from saying this monitor is perfect. overall, gripes considered, if you want high refresh 4k gaming with HDR and gsync OR low latency and want the best price for that, i absolutely recommend this monitory happily. the issues i do have are more than balanced out and justified by the absurdly low (relative) cost of this monitor. unless you have an extra 500 or more bucks in your pocket to get an even more premium one, this is your monitor

Pros: - 4K 120Hz - Great colour profile - Nice accessibility options (blue light, light sensor etc.) - Decent pivot and movement abilities Cons: - A lot of the menu configurations don't seem to save after a 'reboot'. Things like the Light Sensor only work properly when first applied, otherwise they don't work at all until you 'reapply' it. Other features like ASM never seem to save to any profile - The stand tends to stick out way too much (and in length wise, not appearance) - 144Hz is only achievable by sacrificing some quality This monitor, for the price it was selling for was honestly a very sweet deal. To get 4K 120Hz baseline really opens up a whole new door to gaming experiences. Didn't bother trying out 144Hz mode as that does require you to sacrifice some quality (and not that many games can run at 144 fps anyway), but tbh didn't really feel like much was missed My main issue did come from the menu panel settings. A lot of them just didn't seem to save no matter what I tried, which proved to be annoying because some settings like Light Sensor, which greatly help manage the brightness, had to be reapplied each time I wanted it to actually work.

I was replacing a 1080p ultra wide. I purchased a VA ultra wide monitor and it just sucked. I did a deep dive online and found this to be the best available on paper. It has met all my expectations. The only downside for me is it's not ultra wide.

I have two Acer 4k 60hz XB271HK monitors, and their colouring and pixel density is fantastic, I wanted to try a high refresh rate monitor this one being 144hz when you have both display port cables plugged in and 120hz when only 1. So that kinda blows when most modern GPU's now only have three display ports and 1 HDMI. This is an older model of Acer which is why the price is so high, there are newer models that are cheaper, because 4k monitors have started to come down in price, this is old stock. I personally don't like the picture quality, it feels like a 2k monitor to me compared to my other 4k monitors. This monitor has HDR support, but it forces the brightness to be 100% all the time when the Windows HDR option is enabled, so I just use the HDR from the monitor settings and that's better than the Windows setting, so it's not optimized for the Windows HDR setting. BE ADVISED when using only 1 display cable, you have to use the 2nd display port, as it's designed to need both display ports for 144hz, DP 2 with one cable allows for 120hz. I got this monitor to try it out. I got it used for 60-70% off the price and it was the real deal, no dead pixels, everything was fine with it aside from some scratches that aren't noticeable when in use. It's not even that bad dude.

For the longest time, I avoided 4K monitors. Partly because my old graphics card couldn't handle it, partly because I wanted 144hz and all the others I found were 60hz. Well, I recently got a new beast with a EVGA 3080 inside and I decided to take the plunge. Going from 2150x1440 144hz to this, the difference was noticeable right off the bat. The colours are so vibrant and pretty, and everything looks so much better than before. The price sure is right too. Though some will find paying $1000 Canadian dollars for a monitor too steep, it's way cheaper than other 4k 144hz monitors on the market. While still high in price, it's quite a deal when you consider other monitors of larger size can go for over two thousand bucks or more. Oh, I should point out that the 144hz only works with two DisplayPort cables and even than, you need to sacrifice some quality to achieve it by turning off Gsync and other modes. I heard that this can be overcome by doing some Bios trickery but I opted not to do that and stuck with a single DP cable instead. The only drawback is that it's now 120hz but I hardly notice the difference anyways and now the other modes don't have to be turned off. All in all, I was happy with my purchase, and I would recommend it for my fellow gaming enthusiasts who have some cash to burn.

The monitor on paper is a great deal for what you get and I loved this monitor except for the faulty components. Acer support diagnosed it as an internal component issue that had to be sent in for repairs and would be away for 3 weeks and looking online I saw a lot of issues with this line of monitors within the first 6 months and Acer being Acer it's a crap shoot if the monitor will last or even work when you get it. I am returning this monitor for a refund so I can get an Asus monitor that I know will be of high quality despite being a handful more expensive. Great monitor if it works
