ACEMAX M5 AudioCast Wi-Fi Wireless Audio Transmitter Adapter — AirPlay/DLNA/UPnP Streaming to Speakers, 2.4G Wi-Fi Multi-Room Music Cast, Spotify & Internet Radio Support

Looks like a Chromecast audio, my iOS devices see within apps as a streaming device. I bought this as a Chromecast device for Android devices and that functionality is limited to the devices app, it’s not such an issue as it has Amazon music within it but I would have preferred it if the Amazon music app saw it as a casting device. However, it’s functional for what I need.

Plugged it in. Airplay device seen, but would not connect. Reset by cycling power. Airplay device seen, played for a while. A bit later tried again, would not connect... Tried using it with a regular UPnP/DNLA client. Again, connection uncertain and reconnection rarely worked without power-cycling it. I wanted to just plug it in and have it play to my hi-fi when required. Not useful for that...

Excellent wifi extension for my existing music system.

Had to return this item, it worked OK, after going round in circle to get it to work, instructions a little baffling. The main reason I returned is that you have to open their app and then sign into you amazon music etc WITHIN their app, And only the platforms their app supports, With chromecast you can be using amazon music and then just hit the cast icon. As you can in YouTube also,

I could not get this to connect after trying 3 devices. I've set up Chromecast a few times but this didn't work for me.

Works with apple airplay. I experience a lag when broadcasting from my mac to the device. (Fine for audio, not for film.) Installation and network connection is not a problem. The accompanying app is fine, but it is not necessary to use often since it is activated by AirPlay. Price has increased by 33% since I bought it, so in my opinion no longer value for money. It’s a good product but the lag is infuriating.

Wired these little beauts into AV system at work so client can stream their own music into function room - works a treat

If you need to stream to only ONE speaker, this one will work fine. If you are hjowever usuing Airplay 2 to stream to multiple speakres at the same time, this wont work as it does not support Airplay 2. Once you choose it, other speakers will not be able to join

Lo compré por el precio para hacer streaming al patio (las ocasionales reuniones) y creo que servirá. No he comprobado la calidad de la señal pero si que funciona con una bocina pequeña que usé para probar, solo tiene un conector de 3.5 mm. así que no espero mucho. Conectarlo fue un tanto complicado, la AudioCast app no lo encontraba y se quería enlazar al WiiM cosa que no me convenía, desconecté el WiiM y logré conectar el aparato pero no accedía a internet, dos reinicios completos a fábrica hicieron finalmente el truco. Supe que requieren de una buena fuente de poder porque es muy sensible a meter ruido así que estoy usando una de Lenovo sin problemas.
