I wrote a bad review when the formula changed but decided it still works well enough.
***Algae-Off not only kills algae but it also floats leaves, fish waste and debris off the bottom of the pond so you can skim it all off. It makes draining of the pond every spring to clean it a thing of the past. It is safe for the fish unlike some other algae removers and very economical as a 25lb pail will last all summer, even with a bigger pond.

Algae Killer
My pond is about 1/3 acre and about 15 feet deep, so I had to use the whole bucket. It took a few days and seems to be working. There is still a little algae left but compared to how much was in there before I consider it a small victory. I would recommend this product

Not what I thought it would be
This product is for use on rock only. Not for treating the pond itself. Felt the product description is misleading. It is a powder. The label reports if it comes in contact with the eyes, it does irreversible eye damage. If any powdery granule is on the ground it is harmful to birds and bees. Wish I did not order this product and it is not returnable.

Quick Evidence that It’s Working
I’ve used this product in my fish pond for many years. Within approximately 10 minutes of its application, the string algae floats to the surface where I am able to skim it with ease. It continues to work for at least the next half hour or so. I reapply the product every 3 - 4 weeks.

It works as advertised
I bought this hoping to kill the algae in my pond. I was really impressed with how quick it killed it. It was almost immediate, and I spread it using a grass seed spreader. I ended up buying another bucket of it for my other pond. I would highly recommend this product.
