Good cables, good value.
I've used Cable Matters patch cables for a long time and they always work well. Having used several different brands of cables for work and home, I prefer the protective tang these use that isn't obtrusive. This is an example of a product that doesn't get enough credit when they work well, but everyone knows when they don't. Each of these cables was the proper length, proper colour I ordered, and worked flawlessly in my installation.

Good, short patch cables
Purchased some of these 3' patch cables a year or so ago to hook up some new networking drops. We were cutting over to a new VoIP phone system and needed to make another 12 drops live for new VoIP phones. Since they were working so well from before, we purchased the same product. They preformed as well as the last batch and surprise, surprise the price was still the same! That's great with the environment we are in today. Highly recommended!

Cable Matters 8-Color Combo Snagless Cat5e Ethernet Cable - They work well.
Tough to say much about cables, they work or they don't - these do. I used them to replace mono-colored cables on a multiport switch so I could quickly identify which cable fed what device (colors are bright & distinct). I didn't specifically test data rates but coming out of the switch they are feeding everything from surveillance cameras to Cisco Set Top Boxes to PCs without any issues. I have nominal 100 mb/s internet service and Speedtest.net on my PC says I'm getting 120 mb/s, so there's that.Took off one star because they're not 100% snagless - if that claim wasn't being made, they'd be 5 stars. They avoid snags by having a rubber(?) "ramp" leading up to the security clip on the cable side of the plug. That ramp must necessarily be flexible and if it encounters a small, hard obstacle when being pulled it back will bend, sometimes allowing the security clip to catch on the obstacle. My use is pretty much set and forget, so this is not at all an issue for me. If it's critical to your use, it might be a con.

The more colors you have, the easier it is to follow wires around switches and patch panels. Nice ends too.
I own and IT company and we used to have the wires all the same color and everything looked so nice and uniform. However, if you intentionally use as wide a mix of colors as possible, you will have a lot easier time following wires when your are trying to trace one from a 96-port patch panels to crowded 48-port switches. The more colors the better and these have all of the colors, including the whites. We have a standard with customers now, "keep your hands off the yellow wires. Those are ours." Every time you get a router, firewall, or multi-media device, they always come with a yellow wire. That plus the one that comes with these packages give us the extras we need for servers, NAS devices, plus the routers, telephone equipment, multi-media equipment, etc. The ends are perfect, but the diameter is smaller than you might be used to. We just use 3 footers and have had no issues at all.

Cable-Matters color combo CAT5e cable.... useful, economical, great utility. Recommended
Ignoring the color combination, these are fine CAT5e cables... nice plugs (deep, make great connections), a protective "hood" that still allows you to unplug the cable without the use of pliers or other mechanical contrivances.A great bargain, 5-feet seems a nice length for attaching close-in equipment to switches and routers, does not leave a bundle of cable to coil and stash out of the way, and leaves some length for placing things where you want them to be. Very nice for a comm closet (for those in the know).RecommendedAs for the color combo, surprising how the separate colors can help keep things organized. Not a biggy, but still useful.

Good Product When Upgrading to Gigabit Modem/Router
When you need fast network and Internet speeds it is important that you have the right cables. Otherwise, these become the weakest link in your network regarding speed and in these days of streaming and large file transfers and home networks that is important. I upgraded my home network to a new Gigabit modem/router and I realized that some of my patch cables were only CAT5. Our home is wired for CAT5e which is not as good as CAT6 but it is adequate for fast network speeds. When I checked my various patch cables I found several that were CAT5. Once I installed the new Gigabit router and replaced the CAT5 patch cables with these, my network transfers to those computers were doubled. Any Cat5e cable would have worked but I used these because they are color coded and nicely constructed.
