I've read reviews saying this device is cheap looking/feeling. That's ridiculous. Its build is great, of course it's plastic.. what do you expect for twenty quid?! Personally, I love the look and feel of it - instantly takes me back to the 2600 I had as a kid. Despite the small size, the screen has great brightness and resolution too. However, I definitely can't give 5 stars for similar reasons others have pointed out. Some games are a little glitchy, and don't run at their original speed. Also, without instructions some games are a complete mystery. BUT, it doesn't take anyone a few minutes to google game instructions anyway! I like this device, although it is a shame that it wasn't made with a rechargeable built-in lithium battery. I'm planning to buy some to gift people. Happy memories!

Given the price, this is excellent. It plays most ROM files well. There are a few points to note though. There is no paddle so the few included paddle games do not respond well to the substituted controls. The original console's difficulty and B/W switch are absent so some game options cannot be accessed and games that rely on these cannot be played properly or at all (e.g. Starmaster). There is no brightness control either and you'll need to purchase another cable to play on a TV - if you wanted to. The sound is okay but the picture is pleasantly sharp and clear. The controls are adequate enough for most games and generally work well. Some of the included titles are so-so and questionable but the SD card slot saves the day and almost every 2600 and 7800 game runs fine. The 7800 ones seem a little fast but okay. There is no Pokey support for 7800 Ballblazer or Commando though. Have used mine a few hours and batteries are still strong. Overall, and given the price, this is great value and is highly recommended for fans and those appreciative of the Atari library. Just get the SD card version of the console as there is another version without the slot. I am very happy with this purchase.

Absolute rubbish constantly restarting battery life is short just keep getting the start up screen....screen failed no display after a couple of days... Avoid

While the product is built well enough and the are some good Atari games here. there are a few games which I had no idea what was going on the handheld could do with instructions manual. My other niggle is it could do with more games for the price still a good gaming device.

Very impressed with this. You can add Atari 2600 AND Atari 7800 NTSC (USA) roms to a microsd card and slot it in and they just work. Even Pitfall 2 works. Only negatives so far is it takes 4x AAA batteries rather than having a built-in Lithium battery charged by USB, it doesn’t have all the switches an Atari has (no BW/Color switch so you can’t play Starmaster), and as usual there isn’t a paddle controller for paddle games. Also the 7800 games do seem to play too quickly but still playable.

Screen is small, as noted in other reviews, and the product generally feels quite cheaply made. That said, nostalgia was enough for me to decide to keep it (I just love the VCS/2600 version of Missile Command, for example) - that was, until the joypad start sticking after only a few hours of use.

My other half was really happy with it. Kept him quiet for ages. He loves the old school games.

Les plastiques sont de qualités et le rendu est vraiment beau. L'écran est certe petit mais cela ne gène en rien pour la jouabilité. Cette console est réservé à ceux qui aiment les jeux retro, simples avec un graphisme très épuré. Le port S=micro sd est un réel avantage pour ajouter des jeux. J'y ai immédiatement mis space invader qui n'est pas sur la console. Le seul défaut que je trouve c'est qu'il faut des piles. A ce prix c'est vraiment donné pour un objet comme ça!

Eine schöne Handheld-Konsole die leider 30 Jahre zu spät kommt. Für ATARI-Fans das richtige Spielzeug. 60 installierte Spiele (5 davon von der VCS 7800) Leider ist das Display nicht das beste, das geht bestimmt noch besser. Und die Soundausgabe lässt leider auch zu wünschen übrig, ist mir neu dass man am Synthy-Sound noch was verschlechtern kann. (Daher leider nur 4 Sterne) Positiv ist der SD-Slot zu bewerten, so kann man sich (fast) jedes ATARI 2600 (Pal) Rom installieren. Bei den 7800 Rom‘s hat das Gerät leider Probleme mit der Geschwindigkeit. Abgesehen von der Soundausgabe bin ich mit dem Gerät zufrieden

For the price, it is great. Don't have high expectations, because you aren't paying a lot for this and the Atari 2600 came out over 40 years ago so most games haven't aged particularly well. This is a hit of nostalgia and curiosity, I showed my kids the type of games I played as a kid, they laugh at me and play a few for a bit. There are a few games that are still enjoyable, but reality is, the games aren't as great as I remember and that isn't the fault of Blaze who have done a fine job here. Wish the screen was bigger, that is it really.
