Great kit, works very well

I upgraded from my stock cables on my 2016 Specialized Sirrus bike with Altus/Acera gears. They weren't very good from the get go, so when I fitted these it made a huge improvement, and the shifting is noticeably more accurate and easier to operate with less lever force needed. You get all the cable caps, doughnuts, cable joining clips (to avoid rattling of cables) and even rubber frame protectors - long ones that really work. Tip - only use the tightly fitting sealed end caps if your outer cable is pointing up at any point, as they increase resistance and aren't needed for most installations. Any extra resistance is going to make gear shifting worse than you'd expect it to.

A very good quality cable set with every part you would need for road or mountain bikes. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. They're generic instructions for any road bike so you will need to know how to set up for your own groupset. For the specifics of how to access the cable end in my 105 levers I used a YouTube video. The rest was a piece of cake. They even include wraps to stop the cable rubbing on the head tube and a clip to keep the cables together near the bars.

I'm a fan of the Jagwire cable kits. I've used them for both gears and brakes in the past. This kit has everything you need but one addition I would have liked is the in-line cable adjustment barrel for the front derailleur. I had secured the cable to the front derailleur after making sure I had the necessary lengths and then trimmed the excess and crimped the cable end. As I went through the derailleur adjustment process I needed to tension the cable with the cable adjustment barrel. Because there was none in this kit I needed to pull the end of the cable with a pliers and re-secure it to the derailleur. This has left me with a frayed, damaged and broken cable strands at the front derailleur which I'm sure will eventually come lose. So, a word of advice to anybody installing this kit, don't trim the excess cable until after you've completed the adjustment of the derailleur. Otherwise, this kit is excellent. The rubber frame savers are much better than the old donut versions and there's plenty of cable and sheath for a road bike with semi-exposed external cable routing. My gear shifts are smooth and feel like new. I'd happily recommend this kit to anybody replacing their gear cables.

As i have not fitted it to my bike as of yet due to a massive delay fromsupplier of this product iam just going on looks and feel from what i can get access to in the package looks quality, i have jag wire on my bike currently and still looks and works smoothly so hopefully this kit wont let me down, only issue lack of communication with seller, and a large delay in getting the package only got it today so felt let down

Is not the first time when I'm buying this set. It have all the required ends. It do the job and look amazing.

Bought this set to replace like for like on a damaged outer cable on a nukeproof mega carbon mountain bike. Overall I'd say the set is value for money ,they are well made and the little plugs have cool writing on them ,invest on some good snips, they are solid to cut through.

What can I say...best components and everything you need to do a professional quality installation (and more; I always end up with a few spare bits). Cables must be pre-stretched because I never have to fine tune after riding a few hundred kms. Cable housings are highest quality and allow cables to run super-smoothly. For the most precise and most crisp shifting Jagwire is the one. My other bike is externally routed and I used the Jagwire Road Elite Sealed brake and shift kits...amazing and impervious to EVERYTHING ! Highly recommend this great product !

Es un kit de fundas y cables de cambio para bicicletas con desviador delantero y cambio trasero de una marca reconocida como es Jagwire. Es válido para bicicletas de carretera y para bicis de montaña y es compatible tanto con Shimano como con Sram. El kit destaca en mi opinión por la elevada calidad de sus cables y fundas que una vez instalados consiguen un funcionamiento suave y preciso. En el momento en que escribo esta reseña la descripción del producto es algo escasa, así que comento su contenido. El kit incluye: 1 cable de cambio delantero de 2.300 mm, 1 cable de cambio trasero de 2.800 mm, 1 funda para cables de 3.200 mm, 1 segmento de funda flexible de 240 mm (para su uso con cambio trasero de carretera tipo Shimano Shadow como por ejemplo un Ultegra RD-R8000) y una multitud de piezas pequeñas (tapas, terminales, protectores...) que en total suman 20 unidades. Los cables incluidos (modelo PRO) son de acero inoxidable pulido (para una menor fricción), su superficie es lisa y están preestirados (tras 2 meses de uso no he necesitado volver a ajustar los cambios, así que supongo que se debe a que están preestirados), además se identifican fácilmente porque tienen un característico color dorado. La primera impresión al verlos es que se trata de un producto de calidad y esto se confirma tras utilizarlos. Por otra parte, las fundas también son de buena calidad y tienen un revestimiento interior que ayuda a que los cables se deslicen mejor consiguiendo un buen funcionamiento. Su instalación es fácil gracias a unas prácticas instrucciones (con imagenes) que permiten saber donde se utiliza cada pieza y para que sirve. En cuanto al resultado, comentar que he notado una mejora en el funcionamiento de los cambios, ahora puedo cambiar entre coronas o de plato de una manera más suave haciendo con esto que el funcionamiento general de la bici sea mejor.
