Magna-Tac 809 Permanent Adhesive - Trusted Fabric Glue for Fashion Design and Quick Clothing Repairs, 8-Ounce

Great glue, dries clear, I used this for painting projects.

This works super well for those of us who do not sew. I used this to hem curtains for my camper and it works through washings and all. Easy to use, holds well!

This is my favorite solvent-based glue for permanent hold on things where I don't want to be concerned about the effects of water. I use it for shingling gnomes' houses for the garden, for fixing an abrasion on my trailer's wiring, for sticking the felt on the feet of table decorations, for keeping the grip from falling off my lawn mower, and for gluing on the tread back on my sandals. A word of caution, the fumes are very aggressive - use it outdoors or with plenty of ventilation.

Easy to use dries pretty fast and stays clear. I apply it to pearls with a large toothpick, then stick them onto my fabric. It’s more precise and less messy that way.

Avoided need to bring boat chair covers to canvas shop to restitch.

Magna Tac - 809 works. Set aside some time for the job and be patient. I am gluing cording to the arm pad of a chair. Magna Tac is doing the job - BUT wear latex gloves and/or have WD40 on hand to remove it from your skin. It invariably oozes and gets on the wood and fabric since I haven't figured out how much to squeeze out. Fingernail polish with acetone removes glue and I am able to use it on the fabric as well as the wood (carefully). Test that first!!! The glue strings and the hint to put Vaseline on the tip didn't really work for me. However, the cording is soon to be on, I have one arm finished. Couldn't use tacks because the old oak is as hard as steel.

Be careful when snipping of the top. I took too much off making the hole too big. Had to be very careful or the glue poured out too fast. Great product.
