Brilliant!
Is it possible to love a bin? If so this wins a place in my heart! It a perfect size as it holds enough for it not to need emptying every day, plus it looks neat and tidy in my kitchen. I use one section for paper recycling and the other bit for plastic and glass etc, and although I didn’t think I’d use the food caddy, I find it perfect, and again keeps everything discreetly hidden. I have seen other reviews questioning the robustness of the lid mechanism, but so far it works well and I’ll update my review if i notice a problem. Yes, it’s expensive, but it’s an excellent design, so absolutely worth the money.

Neat space saving system
I bought this bin during prime day about 5 years ago and, sad but true, it's one of my favourite purchases. It's perfect for if you live in a flat and have limited space. Rubbish on the top, recycling on the bottom. Massive space saver, looks nice and tidy, easy to empty and clean. Because it has a 2x30L capacity I'm not sure if it would be that suitable for a large family (unless you don't mind taking your bins out frequently) but for a single person or couple, it's perfect.

Indisputably the best bin I’ve spent money on.
I bought this 3 years ago and got laughed at by friends for spending so much money on a bin but I knew I was onto a winner as it’s, well it’s a Joseph Joseph bin and my experience of Joseph Joseph products is that they are well designed, very well built and they last. Although this bin is on the small size I find it perfect because of its compact design and ultra small footprint, perfect for small kitchens. Love the stainless steel finish/colour which has remained stainless over the past 3 years and the lid isn’t showing signs of wear from being opened constantly. If you clean this bin and don’t treat it like a kick toy it will last you longer than the bin you have been replacing every year. Even after 3 years use it still looks great and although it’s just a bin, it looks really cool.

Excellent bin, but arrived damaged
Excellent bin and product, but arrived with a huge dent in the metal and the box. Ignoring that, it's very well functioning to separate waste and recycling, very convenient for both. I bulk purchased bags that fit perfectly and I'm surprised how happy/joyful it is to have such a great bin. The top waste bucket is a little small and the lid doesn't close if it's overfilled, but it is accidentally a good feature as it's just another reminder to "take out the bin". The odour minimiser is also fantastic and works! The product itself being so great and Amazon does offer a return/exchange is the main reason I took off just 1* instead of 2*. Personally, I managed buff out most the dent so it's not too bad and with an item this huge it's really not worth the effort to return (although a partial refund seems fair to me but is not an option!).

Worth the high price
Excellent product, looks very neat in the kitchen and very easy to keep clean. Worth paying the extra for a well made product

Excellent bin, very expensive though
Excellent bin but very overpriced. I bought it because I have a small flat and it fitted the exact space I had perfectly. The quality of the bin is fantastic. I see people say the lid pops back open sometimes, this is because you have too much in your bin and it’s overflowing, take your rubbish out! This only happens when the bin is too full, like obviously too full. The bottom bin is very easy to take out, easily slides. The orange inside bits are also easy to get out, have little holes for your fingers to grip. Comes fully built so don’t need to do anything. Comes with some bags but the Joseph Joseph ones are very expensive so I buy the Sainsburys swing bin bags and they’re basically the perfect fit. I will say that I think the price is ridiculous and if it wasn’t the only bin that had 2 compartments and was the exact right size for where I wanted to put it, I would not have paid that. But I did and I really can’t fault the thing at all. Would recommend , especially if you can get it on sale.

Stylish and functional
Expensive but well made and well-designed which is what you would expect from Joseph Joseph. Fits easily in my kitchen and looks good as well as being functional. The interior lidded pocket for wetter rubbish is a good idea and the filter does indeed seem to stop smells seeping out of the closed bin.

2 bins, both broke within weeks
One of the worst quality items I’ve ever purchased. Initially I paid £200 for this bin in Oct, within 3 weeks the lid kept sticking so wouldn’t always open. I googled it and found lots of others had this same issue, I took it apart (not easy!) to clean. This unfortunately didn’t fix the issue so I raised the issue with Amazon who sent a replacement. This bin was packaged up and returned and the new bin arrived about a week later, this was 8th November. For the first 10 weeks the bin worked great, then a couple of weeks ago the lid started to not open again, this time the issue was the hinges at the back I believe as the lid was not getting stuck at the front. I googled it and again, common issue. The recommendation was to use some WD40, which I did to no avail, again, thoroughly cleaned and still wouldn’t work. Typically the return window was 2 days ago, my bank advised I could do a chargeback but Amazon were good enough to refund me and will collect the poxy bin tomorrow…..this thing belongs in the bin! Not 1 faulty bin but 2.
