. Recommend! Really nice, installed easily.. some tips b4 you install
I purchased the Grey 5 boxes of the 4 foot slats (our fence is 11 gage - 2 1/4” diamond slat size) I called and verified with the company that installed our fence 8 yrs ago, the gage / diamond size b4 purchasing. They offered to have me buy their vendors privacy slats and install for about $1000. To install a privacy vinyl privacy fence they quoted $14k. No thanks… including s&h of $60 UPS ( which I checked and that is what USPS charges for 31 lbs from vendor to my location) this cost $299. WAY cheaper…We were trying to cover one side of our fence due to neighbor not cleaning up their yard, and wanted privacy from their dogs/mess. My husband said it was my project, and I did it all by myself (girl power..lol) I’m not mechanically inclined, and it took me about 6 hours over 2 days to complete it start to finish. My suggestion is have a small stool to sit on/scissors/butter knife/ U shaped stakes ( you can buy on Amazon also - once your finished you need to secure the fence to the ground- per our fence professional) so I bought those and for every 10 feet used 3 stakes. That way if you have high winds, the weight adding the stakes will not topple over your fence. I first put the bottom pieces on, then put all the slats in place (using one box at a time) and while sitting on the stool used the butter knife to open up the bottom piece wide enough to push the slat down and lock into place. I had the best luck pulling the bottom piece lip toward me and then getting the slat to lock into place. It’s time consuming, but take your time and you’ll get the hang of it. When I was finished, I went back over the top of each slat pushed down gently to make sure each slat was “ locked in place” then put my stakes in the ground. A few times I had to push back a metal twist piece to get the slat to drop down into the diamond, but they are pretty simple to do. I did trim 2 pieces at the start and end of the fence to not leave any openings. Overall, it looks really nice and the slats are really nice quality. Arrived within a week of ordering. Really impressed myself, didn’t ask for husband’s help at all, and he was impressed I did it all on my own, and how nice and private it looks. Would highly recommend. Hope my tips helps others when start this process. June 2023 update- slats held up so well this past year decided to finish the rest of chain link fence with more slats, and installed privacy fence on one side to give complete privacy from neighbors. Very happy. Ordered 2 more boxes, only needed 1 to finish project. Refund simple and easy, they must have updated their policies. No return restock / shipping fees, and said no return of the extra box required but giving full refund of unopened box. Awesome company. Thanks!

Works. Mostly easy to install.
This did the job. Just FYI the slats are a few inches smaller than listed. For instance my 5' slats measured 56.5", not 60". A word of advice on installation, use one slat to see where it will be approximately on the fence then put the bottom rails in first. The slats will go easily down thru the links if there are no bends. I did two at a time then they click into place at the bottom in the rails. You could easily cut the rail pieces with scissors if needed to fit smaller or corner sections. Helps with privacy and block neighbors so dog doesn't bark at them.

Quality Material, Easy Install, Made in USA
This is a great product. The wave in the product adds strength and substance to these slats. The fit perfectly inside the fences gap from front to back and click securely into the bottom rail, so as wind blows the do not move or make a sound. We did 120 feet along the middle section of our back fence. It adds a great partial privacy screen and better visually defines the back of our property. Installations was easy, but you sliding 1 inch slats into a fence individually which takes tedious time. Where your fence may be out of shape (bent from kids climbing or the lawn mower catching), these slats still go through, but you need to reshape your fence a little so have some pliers in your pocket when installing. GREAT PRODUCT, MADE IN THE USA, AND OFFERED AT A VERY GOOD PRICE! WELL DONE!!!

Best option; easy to install
I have 80ft of 6ft chainlink fence across the back of my yard; I wanted privacy because of our pool. While the slats offered less privacy than the wood fence we had, we like the slats, they just look better. I ordered and installed 20 ft at a time while removing the old fence--the chainlink was behind it. After installing 50ft, I went to order more and Amazon was out of stock with a message stating, Amazon did not know when they would be back in stock. I ordered only 10ft of "Rigid Slats" from Slats Depot because I was worried about the color matching; close enough. The issue is, the Slats Depot, slats are of lesser gauge; that is, thinner. I thought about sending them back but would have to pay shipping so I kept them. I logged on to Amazon to check available of these preferred slats and they had them. I ordered the last 20ft I needed. For the 85 cents difference is cost in consideration of shipping cost. These slats are much better. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because of cost. they all cost too much For me $55.00 shipping included would be a more competitive price. I neighbor asked about them; he liked them. He thought they were too expensive. I am happy with the purchase, it was the best option for me.

Great for privacy and quick to install
We bought this to limit the view for our dogs and the neighbors' dog. It did that and had an additional bonus as a privacy screen for us when we are in our pool or they are in their pool. The slats slide easily vertically, but if your fence is a little messed up, like if you hit it with the mower wheels too much, you have to manipulate them a little. We installed them along the side in under an hour. Would have been shorter if we didn't have the bushes to work around. We were not able to get the track in the bottom of the fence and it still held up when the dogs sniffed each other through it. We did not use any zip ties or anything else to install.

Good stuff thats easy to use and looks great!
Great product and surprisingly easy to use. *Install the bottom horizontal strip first. *Install the vertical privacy slats with the slat wave ‘M’ facing the fence tube supports. Position the flat square end on top and the rounded end with slits removed on the bottom and snap each into the bottom horizontal strip. *Use of 2 hands can be helpful and guide each slat down and into position while keeping it’s edges behind the chain link diamond mesh until snapped into the bottom horizontal strip.

No issues but I encourage you to read the description and ask questions before ordering
Sturdy enough for the price and easy to install. I over ordered but it saved me because I would have been short two slats. Still not sure how they calculated the width of coverage you get per box because I really thought I was going to need a box and a half to cover my fence based on the description. Trying to figure out the measurements based on the item description was a little confusing and you need to look at what the actual length of the material is and not. Based on fence size as they have it listed but I did end up ordering the right size. The problem I think most people would run into is that their fence is built with different sized pipe or the pipes are not installed the same height for every fence this product is measured to fit within the framing of the fence not from the top all the way to the bottom. The product also accounts for details like the tension bar. So depending on how new and how professionally build your fence is is going to determine what A) if this product is right for you. B) there the slats are going to sit in the fence. & C) the how difficult the installation in going to be. My fence is old, bent and not to average dimensions (59” from top to bottom) so I didn’t get to use the bottom piece that locks in all the slats because my fence is too bent at the bottom but the slats fit just fine and the friction from the chain link is holding them in place just fine.

Beware: This Company is Misleading, Combative and Cruel
I ordered slats for a 5 foot fence. Then, I got Covid. I was in the hospital for nearly a week; then in bed. Then, for weeks, I fought the debilitating effects of long Covid. I could not start a fence project. When I finally regained my strength, I opened the box to find that these slats are too short. They are advertised as being for a 5 foot fence, but that is misleading. They are too short. Defective. I'm an educated person with advanced degrees and am very fastidious. This defect was not on me. It's on them. When I tried to return the slats, FenceSource replied with this combative and condescending response (below) and refused to take back the product. Now, I have a defective product and am out $114. My only recourse is to warn others. Beware. Here is the message FenceSource sent me: "There is nothing misleading about the product. It sounds like you did not read the listing on Amazon. You ordered fence slats for a five foot high fence. On the listing it states that the slats are "White Fence Slat - Designed for a 5' high fence, slats are approximately 56.5" in length to accommodate the bottom locking channel and to prevent the slats from being above the top of the fence. Don't threaten us by leaving a bad review if we don't issue a refund. We have done nothing wrong. You didn't read the Amazon listing and everything is explained in detailed regarding the product. COVID doesn't last for weeks and weeks. We provide excellent customer service and provide a good quality product that is made in the USA. Believe me, working at a business dealing with COVID is hard enough. Don't blame COVID because you needed longer than 30 days to return the items. Thank you!"
