Quantitative Analysis
I've been working with industrial electronics for over twenty years and have access to higher grade test equipment than the average end user so I did a quantitative analysis of the gray 9V batteries I received. Fortuitously, there was a (relatively) fresh proper yellow canned Duracell ProCell lying around the shop so I was able to add that to the comparison table. The basic analysis to take away is (with out dissecting the battery case) the cells appear to behave almost identically to the original yellow packaged ProCells, whereas the fresh plain "copper top" has a much higher internal resistance at load, the gray batteries match more closely with the yellow Duracell ProCell. The only thing I particularly don't trust is the crimp quality of the top and bottom of the can (evident in the attached comparison photo). Weaker crimp quality could create a situation where alkaline cell leakage can more easily "burst" the battery can, and the crimp quality difference is significant. The unit with "DURALOCK" on it was extracted from a piece of test equipment for visual comparison and not used in the test due it's age/wear.

All batteries good, all Duralock, expiring just before 2025
These 34 AA Duracell DURALOCK batteries are all fresh stock. ALL batteries read between 1.625 and 1.627 volts, with an experation date of December, 2024. They were factory segregated into 2 Duracell packages of 17 batteries each, which was then enclosed in a stiff factory cardboard box made to hold the 2 packs. Lastly, that box came inside another slim, oversized cardboard mailing box. No evidence of mishandling enroute. This is a good value/ buy, and I have purchased this exact item in the past. Tips: (1) 80 degrees F is the ideal tempeature for use. Colder and you start to lose current; hotter and you start to lose voltage. (2) Never, ever drop or slap batteries, the core inside can crack and you will not notice it until it starts to leak inside your device causing damage. (3) Do NOT leave batteries inside electronic devices if you will not be using the device frequently (at least once a month). (4) Alkaline batteries will keep longer if kept in a refrigerator (not much longer though), and they need to warm up first before use. (5) Heat kills batteries. Do not store them in your glove compartment. If you must, then put them in the trunk, wrapped up in something soft.

DO NOT BUY
Just bought a box of these two months ago. Went to use another one and it was less than 5 volts. Did not work in a hand held thermometer or smoke alarm. Checked all of then and they were between 3.5 and 5 volts. No where near the 9 volt. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! I cannot even give them one star, but it would not let me post without one though. No expiration date can be found anywhere on them or the box.
