Great for Blending
Great pencils to blend with.

Like the large barrel
This pencil has a much larger barrel than most charcoal pencils as a result I have had significantly less breakage than present in thinner pencils. They are a bit pricey but it's definitely worth it.

excellence ruined by packaging
I've been using Conte' charcoal pencils for years. First time buying from Amazon. These pencils are pre-sharpened, then ruined by horrible packaging. The sharpened end is wrapped with glued paper and plastic wrap making it impossible to unwrap without breaking the tip and leaving behind a sticky residue rendering the first 1/2 inch of pencil unusable. PLEASE quit sharpening and just send me pencils! Every artist sharpens them differently anyway. Will never buy from this supplier. Conte' should be notified.

breaking at shrpering. even with razor
i got a broken pencils from the begining tryed carfuly to sharping them. and they breaking not metter how soft and slow im sharping with razor. i have this same pencils from other store and they just fine and not breaking. but those from amazon coming with defect. after i tryed sharping till 1/4 of the pencil i stoped and talked with costumer service. they asked me to return them if i want a refaund! what a joke! i have to spend my time waiting to delivery guy to take this broken pencils? amazon enjoy my pencils money
