I love natural skin care, but when I opened this I was disappointed to find half the jar empty! It wasn't cheap and so this doesn't make it the best value item I've bought for my face. The next thing I noticed is how thick the cream is. Initially I thought that this wouldnt' work for me but I've been pleasantly surprised. It felt like the type of cream that might cause an outbreak of spots, but actually it's a really good moisturiser, you don't need much at all and my skin feels pretty smooth and not at all greasy, my skin just soaks it all up. It has a pleasant light scent, I'm not one for heavily perfumed stuff though. I'd probably buy this again if you got the whole jar filled or if it was on sale - would probably make a nice gift for someone too because of the multiple uses.

I got this as a treat for myself, as I was looking for a rich cream that had all natural ingredients (and ideally was made in the UK, too). I'm not sure if I'd buy it regularly, though, as it's above my usual budget for face creams, especially as it's only 60 ml. But nice to give it a try, and I do appreciate the company's ethical image. Upon opening the jar, there are quite a few air bubbles in the product (see photo), so it's difficult to know if you are getting exactly 60 ml of the product or are being somewhat short-changed. You can also see some more gaps/bubbles in the cream once you look closely from the outside of the glass jar or hold it up to the light. Some reviewers here have said they thought the banana fragrance was too strong. I'd disagree. I think that a variety of scents emanate from the product, but it probably smells more of the hemp oil than anything else. The scent is a little bit strong overall if you are very sensitive to scent, but not a problem for myself. In fact, I quite enjoyed the originality of the scent. The cream is quite thick, and I didn't need to apply a large amount to my face (so the product should last a while). It results in a shiny and oily skin. That isn't a problem for me personally, although I would be hesitant of applying this product just before bedtime in case the bed sheets got oily, too. I only wish there were more cream products of this type at more affordable prices.

I've had this cream for a couple of weeks now and quite like it. I'd call it 'butter' instead of cream if I had to locate it on thickness scale. It melts when on the fingers and can be spread quite evenly (massaged into skin) but it is viscous on oily. I use it for nights and should probably be using a towel over the pillow just in case (I do have a dawn one) but I only use a tiny amount (somewhat like 5 drops of Healthy Start kids vitamins) for the face, neck area and quite a bit stays on the hands. Will last a long while if it doesn't go bad before that (I carelessly keep it quite close to a radiator). The smell is lovely. And, as the ingredients are natural, the skin reacts very well to it. I did have some little flakiness after the first 2-3 uses, my typical reaction to new treatments, but it settled immediately after that and the cream is absorbed a bit better now. But even after a night you could still expect cream to be there on your skin, which is not ideal, but then, at least, you can be sure you have not absorbed any poison through your pores. Works for me. UPDATE: over a month now, and my skin is totally used to it now, to the point it goes dry if I haven't used the cream the night before. Not sure if it's a good sign but I definitely do not see anything negative in the product. Another week or two, and I now use more of the cream, wake up with less oily skin and am quite happy with the product. It's not a miracle face-lift but it definitely nourishes the skin. 2 MONTHS UPDATE: I've had it for 2 months now and do think it's alright but absorbency is more of a mask qualiyy and the one little inconvenience is - my skin is slightly dry all following day (using the cream nighttime).

I gave this to my mom, as I dont like such a thick and oily cream, i expected something light, so i guess i just did not read properly. It is crazy greasy, like an actual butter. Maybe it is good to treat damaged skin? Probably. For regular use? I am not sure, unless you love buttery creams, then it's perfect for you. And yes, the smell! Smells like a cake, very nice. Have in mind it is a tiny tube, but considering the thickness and oiliness of the product i'd guess you need to use very little amount.

First impressions : this cream smells lovely (if you like banana scents) and the jar is a not only environmental friendly, but also of great quality. Ongoing use for a few weeks: As others have mentioned, the cream is thick and needs to be smoothed in and rubbed in the face to ensure coverage and absorption. It does leave a film and so it is best suited for night use. Personally I was not able to use it as day cream to put make up over it, as it takes a while for the product to be absorbed. However, I think it is wonderful as a night cream, I leave it on before bed and wake up to a supple, refreshed skin. It actually has made my skin clearer and I am very happy that it is organic. Will definitely buy again!

This is the most disgusting product I have ever tried. I mean, when I read the reviews saying it's too oily, I thought: oh well, I love oils, as I like to put coconut oil or almond oil on my face. But this cream it's like a combination of oils to which you add some pan-fried oil to which you add some sticky goo and voila! Organic cream! Even when I wipe my face after with a paper towel, it's still sticky and disgusting and in the morning it's horrendous. After a week of use and being grossed out, I decided not to put it ever again, as I have seen no improvement, no moisturizing properties as well. Only the presentation is nice, but it's just marketing.

Love it as a night cream! Great smell and a little goes a long way! I love that it comes in a glass jar in his palm oil free!

The cream comes in a nice little glass jar with a cool design. The consistency of the cream is fluffy - almost like a sorbet. It’s a light yellow and smells deliciously of banana and almond. However, it’s so rich and oily I’m not sure it can be used as a day cream. I’d happily use it on my hands or as a night cream though.

I was so happy to find this face cream, since it is made without palm oil, or any palm oil derivatives. However, as far as performance, I was very disappointed. The ingredients are great, but the cream just sat on the skin, and was not absorbed. It had no effect on the lines around my eyes, if anything it accentuated the lines. I think the problem is that this formulation is all oils, and no water. Water in a face cream helps to moisturize the skin, and it allows the cream to be absorbed into the skin, allowing the ingredients in the cream to work their magic. I think with a little formula tweaking this product could be fabulous

Product arrived with about 1/3 missing. When trying it out, the produ t was very thick and it felt like I mixed butter and olive oil together an put it on my face. After it sitting for about a minute, my face started burning and it took almost 3 washes to get off and a cotton pad soaked in rose water to settle my Rosacea Flare-up. While it might work for others it was a definite no for me.
