They are plugged into a outlet the timer is built in. Turn them on hit timer on your remote and they will come on everyday the same time and go off same time every night. I absolutely love mine will be getting more soon.

Q: How do I hang these on the wall? My daughter wants her lights on the top corners of her room.

Try Command Adjustables Mini Decorating Clips. They work wonderfully because they don’t damage the walls and they’re clear. I use them to string fairy lights around my home office.
