Fisher Space Pen is Terrific!
The Fisher Space Pen is a terric tool The pen has a great design, Made of solid brass and nicely machined, it is compact when the cap is on. In use with the cap placed on the back end the pen nicely balanced and is not too short. When capped, the pen is conveniently compact and feel like it disappears in our pantrs pocket. The ingeneous refill is totally sealed and nitrogen gas charged so the pen does not rely on gravity. The ink is also a special ink that is more viscous. The pen does write on wet paper and even under water and when writing with the pen upside down. It does write on many glass surfaces as well. Awesome is that Fisher gives a lifetime guarantee on this awesome pen.

Best Pen Money Can Buy!
Fantastic product with high quality control and a beautiful fit and finish. A+ build quality with an amazing history. Next time someone tells you the Russians used pencils and we spent millions to develop this...tell them the pencil lead dust contaminated the air quality and air filters while our boys stayed healthy and safe! This pen won't cost you a million dollars and will bring a smile with every use. Writes well and has a sharp distinguished look. Easy to use and easier to justify purchasing, pick it up today!

Very nice usability while writing.
Love the pen. Writes wel, very tiny and feels solid in the hand. Even with bigger hands.

Great Pen!
Great pen, my second one, truly writes almost anywhere. Don’t ever loan this to a “friend”; if you do keep the cap. Had the last one for 6 years and only had to replace the ink cartridge once.

Good... but tiny.
This is a good pen, just got it last night and already used it for notes. It writes well and smooth. I was shocked at how truly small and narrow in diameter the pen is. Thankfully, when you pull the cap off and put it on the other end to write, it is the length of a normal pen... otherwise, it would be more like a stylus than a pen. But overall, I love it. I ride my bicycle, take the bus and train to get around... this is a really tough, small pen. It looks good and writes good... and it's great for someone on the run, who still wants to have a stylish pen when needed. I'm always writing stuff, on anything I can find, napkins, wrappers... last night I wrote on a foil fruit loop wrapper... and it wrote. I think this is going to be my new favorite pen... functional, mobile and classy.

Writes on anything, but can roll off the table. Also, a quick comparison between the Fisher and Nite-Ize Inka
I really like this pen. When in use, the cap fits onto the back of the pen, making for a full size pen. When shut, the body of the pen (the part with the ink) collapses into the cap, almost cutting the size in half. When collapsed, I'd say the size is about the same length as a woman's lipstick, and just a little larger than half that diameter. The pen writes pretty smoothly, but more impressive, always seems to write. It will write in any position without skipping, as well as on things a ball point pen normally wouldn't write on, like dirty or greasy paper, cardboard, packing tape, etc. Never had I had to scribble on a 'clean' spot on the paper, to re-establish ink flow. The cap seals the ink from the elements with an O-ring, which also is what keeps the cap in place. The friction between the O-ring and the metal body is all that is holding the cap on. It is enough to keep the cap from falling off the pen when in your pocket or purse, but not much more. I believe this is by design, as there is no pocket clip or projection of any kind on the pen, closed or open. When closed, there is a barely detectable ridge, where the cap meets the body of the pen. To use, just pull both ends apart, and put the cap on the backside of the body. This is the most compact pen, when closed, I have ever had, that is truly comfortable to use. If you want the smallest pen you can get, that is comfortable to use and 100% reliable, this is the one for you. Not only that, but it is strongly built of metal, with the only non-metal part you can see would be the O-ring that keeps the lid on and that is only visible when open. My only complaint is that being round (well, bullet-shaped) with no projections is that it will roll away when placed on a flat object, whether open or closed. I believe Fisher makes pens with a clip that would solve this problem, but by design I don't believe that those would be as compact. I do believe they use the same pressurized ink cartridge as this one. The ink itself writes smoothly, makes a nice, dark, easy to read line, and seems quite smudge resistant. I also have a Nite-Ize Inka pen, which uses a similar pressurized cartridge, has a screw-on cap, and a pocket clip. I like the clip because it keeps the pen from rolling around (when in use, you remove the cap, and attach it to the back of the pen body, much like this one) and gives you a way to keep it at the top of your pocket or purse. I think that having the cap be screw-on is a good idea for a pen designed with a clip. However, it does not collapse as small as the Fisher, and it is primarily made of plastic. It seems plenty sturdy, but does not quite have the 'forever' feel of the metal Fisher. On the other hand, it costs 1/3 less, and also has a tablet stylus built into the back end. Owning both, I can say the Fisher has a more 'executive' look, and is smaller to pack around (both shorter, and smaller in diameter). The Inka pen has a more 'utility' look, and has a clip to hold it to your pocket or purse, and a stylus on the back side. Also, some of the Inkas come with a little clip that attatches to a little loop at the top of the pocket clip, to attach to a zipper pull, backpack, or whatever. Lastly, the Fisher has written on everything I have ever tried it on, but the Inka has skipped just a little on some of the really tough stuff. Also, the Fisher seems to make a slightly bolder line, easier to read, but the Inka's finer line may be more precise. I hope this review was helpful.

I bought one of these when I was about 12, visiting the Space Science Museum. Inevitably I lost it, though I remember it was the subject of envy from my little group of geeky schoolmates. Anyway, a few years on and I was looking for a good pen that would cope with the abuse of being carted around the highlands and camping, hiking, cycling, accidentally being washed, accidentally falling in ponds, accidentally being hoovered up, etc. It is a great little pen, lasts ages, writes on anything, the cap makes a comfortable length. The ONLY bugbear is no clip which you can buy for a fiver. Shrewd business tactics. Normally I would complain but instead I just marvel at their ingenuity with both pens AND business. Am I a sucker? yes. but also I am a genuinely impressed customer. My dog chewed the latest one and it has little teeth mark scars in it. the cap still fits, the ink still flows... it adds character to it. Buy one and keep it in your pocket for those times when someone searches for a pen. just be sure to get it back.
