I wanted the 6" press rather than the 8", because that will work better for me. I received the round one with the polymer handle, which is the one I wanted. It's not super heavy, but I wanted a tool strong enough that I can press the burger into the grill, rather than just weigh it down. This press looks strong enough to do the job, and high quality enough to last a long time. The weight is more than heavy enough to hold down bacon, etc. The bottom surface is smooth like you would expect on a stainless-steel appliance, but not highly polished. The weld on the handle looks clean. I feels good in my hand, and will meet my needs perfectly.

I wish I had bought a smaller one. This might be perfect on a large open griddle, but it is cumbersome in a pan. Bottom line is, measure the actual size of the hamburgers you make. And don't buy a smasher any bigger than that.

I give this 5 Stars!! Exactly perfect for what I wanted. I was sick of using Parchment paper for smashing the burgers, this thing is non stick! Great weight too it, definitely feels sturdy and worth the price. Can’t wait to make smash burgers all summer long!
